Update Review: So after having this for a few weeks, I still like the litter box but wish it could open to better clean it. It does wipe down easily, but you have to reach in to do it and if your cat has had runny stool at all, it can get quite messy inside. The whole circular portion comes off the stand so you can take it to a sink or a hose but it was difficult to get all the litter out and difficult to fully clean all areas. The instructions advise you to wear gloves to pull out the portion that holds the litter due to sharp edges, I was not able to get it out yet but will try again with different gloves. Instructions also advise to use a vacuum to get the remaining litter out, but my handheld one didn't quite fit well enough and I struggled to get all the litter entirely out. Once that was done, I did wipe it and washed the interior with soap and water before air drying. All that being said, my two kittens do use it regularly and I find that the bag typically needs replaced about every 6-7 days. The machine will say Full and the buttons are all easy to read/use. The alerts are pretty great as well. I will be traveling soon and I am glad to be able to see when it is used, when a cleaning is performed etc. The odor is obvious during cleaning and for a little while after its used, but overall it does a pretty good job reducing the odor. I still add an odor remover to the litter to help with the smell. It is also important to find the right litter for this- you want clumping, but some litters have been better than others so far. In my experience, The "Worlds best" was messier than the "Almo Natural", but is better at odor reduction... I am still trying other litters to better compare. Additionally- The machine is not exactly noisy, but my dogs certainly take notice every time it runs in a back room. It sounds a little clickety/clunky when running and it moves slow for safety. Immediate review: It's only been a day, but so far so good. The order arrived very quickly (next day in fact) and it was already put together- including the first waste bag. Guidance was very easy to follow (and easy to find- they include an app with video + steps and guide are also shown on the litterbox itself). I have 2 new kittens, and 1 of them has immediately begun using this, the 2nd is a little cautious but they are watching it and I think both will be using it in no time. I am currently using a nautural clumping litter that seems to work just fine with it. We do not notice any bad odor with this litter box, while the open litter box we had was quite pungent in spite of daily cleaning. I will post updates after using for longer period, but so far I am very impressed. The only thing I would change so far is the bags- I would prefer eco-friendly/ biodegradable bag options- and the litter box color option.

Works well and very well made. It is a little hard to clean the inside but otherwise it is. It is hard to find generic bags and have to get their bags. If I had it to do over i would get one that allows me to use a generic bag.

Overall, I love this litter box. It’s rather cost effective and it’s super easy use. I like it so much, I got two of them. I change the bags once a week and then top off litter as needed. There isn’t an odor and it’s been great. It was a learning curve on which litter I liked best in the there, as I was switching from pretty litter (which isn’t clay nor clumps). I found that just using simple clay clumping works best. You can se the time it takes in between cleanings and it cleans a couple minutes after the cat goes. I do find it difficult to clean the excess litter out if it gets stuck, but just poking it, running an empty cycle, seems to work best. Overall, I REALLY like this box! It also looks nice and fits under the table I have pet things on.

I've got this self cleaning litter box for my Scottish fold cat, which is average size, not small, but not too big. Setting up was easy, but there are three huge problems! My cat doesn’t fit it, it seems like it was made for short cats only. He gets inside but he can’t accommodate himself there to feel comfortable so he could do what he needs to do. He did his best and he tried but since it’s not enough space his poop literally passed by, not into the litter box. When he tried to pee, again, because of lack of space he left spots and drops of it out on the box. My cat has never used any other spot to do his stuff except only litter box and now he is confused. Also, filter doesn’t help, after my cat finishes the litter from his paws is everywhere around, because he doesn’t have a chance to move there properly, and this filter just makes the space smaller. I would give a chance this robot, but considering reasons above will have to return it. It’s definitely has to be higher for average cat.

I’ve tried several self-cleaning litter boxes, but the PetCove is by far the most impressive one yet. With multiple cats at home, scooping had become a full-time job. This machine has completely reclaimed my time! The setup was incredibly easy, and the sensors are very sensitive—it stops immediately if my cat even gets close, which gives me peace of mind regarding safety. It’s remarkably quiet; I barely notice when it’s running a cleaning cycle. Odor control is another huge plus; the sealed waste compartment does a fantastic job of keeping the house smelling fresh. If you’re on the fence about the investment, trust me, it’s worth every penny for the convenience and cleanliness it provides. Highly recommended!

Pros: Quiet, easy to clean, takes up way less room than a litter robot. Cons: Way too small for my cats Half of their body sticks out and they go on the floor. Less room inside than a litter robot, so when they scratch at the litter it fly out of the opening. This might be a good alternative for the litter robot if you have very small cats.

I bought this automatic litter box at a great price during summer prime days. I wanted the convenience of an automatic box but couldn’t stomach the $700+ price tag of some options. I’m so happy with my purchase. The box is smaller than I expected and fits in the space where the manual box was before. It’s easy to set up, following the instructions provided. Do plan to spend about an hour setting up and getting to know the features. The app is easy to use and it’s nice to be able to monitor both cats’ litter habits. I was a little worried about the smaller size and enclosed area as one of my cats is pretty big, but he transitioned without a problem and we were able to ditch the old stinky box the same day I set this one up. I use about the same amount of litter I used before, if not a bit less (I’m using crystal/silica litter and it works great). With the litter being sifted after each potty break, the odor control is amazing. I left for 2 weeks on vacation and came back to literally no odor. My mom watched my cats and changed the bag once midway through, and that’s it. I do a thorough clean once a month, wiping everything down and replacing the litter, and I cannot smell the box unless I really stick my nose in it. The monthly clean, taking it apart and deep cleaning takes a bit of time but far less than sifting twice a day everyday. Overall, it’s a great quality box for the money. I’m very happy with my PetCove Purrtek box.

I bought two different brands at the same time because I couldn't decide which I liked best for my cats and I needed to replace the 3 broken automatic boxes that I had. I love that it is easy to change the litter bags and it stays much cleaner than the previous automatic boxes that I had. Also it is not terrible to clean. I have a pretty heavy older boy that didn't like the guard on the front I removed that and let me tell you that was a big mistake! My other boy who likes to pee in the front of the box was now peeing down the front and into the tray underneath! I of course put it back and all my cats use that box except the older heavy boy (he uses the other automatic box that I bought). My only other issue is I really wish it weighed the cats in pounds and not grams (or at least give me the option to change the weight to pounds). Makes it easier when I don't have to do the math! Love the box just not the scale.
