LOOOOOOOOVE THIS!!! I had a sore throat and was feeling accordingly yucky in early December. The same week I had ordered a heating pad designed to be used in pet beds for my 105 year old Chihuahua. Well, as I sat on the sofa shivering, I spied the new pad and placed it on my lap. It was stiff and only covered my thighs, but the heat was so comforting! I dropped many hints about what I would like Santa to bring me for Christmas, but when that failed, on December 26th I thoroughly scoured Amazon for the best heating pad for humans. I found this one. It's PERFECT! Just the right size, it covers my legs from my lap to my ankles. (I figured a heated throw would be too big and bulky and a pain in the tail to deal with every time I had to get off the couch for whatever reason) The covering is so soft and this pad is quite pliable, as opposed to the one I borrowed from my ancient dog. I use it every evening when we sit to watch the news and then whatever movie or episodic we are currently into. The timer shuts off after 2 hours, but it's easy to restart a new session and that is a good safety feature. It's just what I wanted, even though I am now healthy, it's still winter and chilly!

My brother owns this exact same one and I liked his so I bought one for myself. I recently injured my back and have had a lot of pain I can truthfully tell you this item has helped me so much to feel better faster. I am going to buy another one for another family member. The temperature is fully adjustable from 104° to 144° I am 5ft 7inches tall and this size was PERFECT.

The size is great and the temperature range goes from a barely noticeable 1 to a sizzling hot 6. The material is soft but not slippery and I don't notice the wires running through like with some other heating pads.I've purchased 6 of these now in the last 3 years but I use 2 at a time and have them running 24/7 as I have debilitating chronic pain. If you use it for a few hours every day or less I'm sure it'll last way longer than mine do but even with needing to replace them every year, they're worth it.

I love this heating pad. My prior heating pad had its cord chewed by a certain dog that should go un-named. That started my disappointment in a few I purchased they barely got warm. This pad gets hot and does its job. The cost is reasonable, the size is perfect. Highly recommended

This thing is huge! I put it to my neck & it'll reach my knees! I'm 5'3", but if you're under 5 feet tall, it IS a heated blanket! It is so soft. And it has 10 different heat settings, plus it displays the temperature from 95⁰F to 140⁰F (I set my gas heater to 140⁰F, and I love it very hot!) You can choose how long you want it on, from .5 hour to for the auto shut off. Pros: very large in size, ultra-soft fabric, you can unplug & toss it in the washing machine Cons: not a fan of shut-off, as I prefer it on all night, but that's ok. My recommendation? Get it! The one I've had for several years died. And it was big, but nothing compared to this one. The first time I turned this one on, I draped it over me & I nearly fell asleep!

Have used heat pads before, but what stands out about this one is that it is weighted and that makes such a huge difference. The weight allows it to press against the body so the full heat effect can be felt (great for period cramps!) and the weight helps it drape around the body too in any position (great for lying on the side). A couple of weeks after I got this, I fell and badly injured my pelvis ligaments. This was fantastic for applying heat and pressure to my pelvis over the course of the day (alternating with ice packs) and I believe was instrumental in quickly healing the worst of the injury. It's great for cramps, back pain, and just keeping warm and feeling hugged. I actually use it powered off too (cord is removable), because the weighted effect is soothing, and it retains heat for a long time after use. I plan to get another one because this one gets hijacked by my teenager and cat! I did get this brand's shoulder version, and that's okay, but nowhere as good as this one. In hindsight, I should have returned the shoulder one and got another of these. My negatives are more niggles: it could be a bit bigger, I'm a US size 4 and it doesn't cover my back. The plastic controller buttons click very loudly (annoying at night), rubber buttons would be quieter. The cord from the blanket to the controller is either too short or too long, it just seems to constantly be in the way and falls and hits against the side of the bed every time I, or the pad, move, making me worry about it's longevity. I think I would prefer it to be further away from the pad, so I don't lie on it. However, these minor nuisances are livable for the comfort the pad brings.
