LOOOOOOOOVE THIS!!! I had a sore throat and was feeling accordingly yucky in early December. The same week I had ordered a heating pad designed to be used in pet beds for my 105 year old Chihuahua. Well, as I sat on the sofa shivering, I spied the new pad and placed it on my lap. It was stiff and only covered my thighs, but the heat was so comforting! I dropped many hints about what I would like Santa to bring me for Christmas, but when that failed, on December 26th I thoroughly scoured Amazon for the best heating pad for humans. I found this one. It's PERFECT! Just the right size, it covers my legs from my lap to my ankles. (I figured a heated throw would be too big and bulky and a pain in the tail to deal with every time I had to get off the couch for whatever reason) The covering is so soft and this pad is quite pliable, as opposed to the one I borrowed from my ancient dog. I use it every evening when we sit to watch the news and then whatever movie or episodic we are currently into. The timer shuts off after 2 hours, but it's easy to restart a new session and that is a good safety feature. It's just what I wanted, even though I am now healthy, it's still winter and chilly!

Starting off: this heating pad is big. And I mean big. It has plenty of coverage no matter where you need to use it. The soft lining is almost like a velvet feel. It’s very comfortable. The different heat settings are fine tuned so you get it to the right temperature. It’s got a timer (always a must have) and heats up REALLY FAST. if you ever spill anything on it, the plug comes off and it can be washed! A must have heating pad for every home.

I have a bad back thanks to a long history of scoliosis and spinal reconstruction surgery as a teen. Daily pain has been a norm for me for most of my life, and grows worse the older that I get. The point being that by afternoon and early evening my back and neck are a wreck with pain, stiffness and seizing muscles. Pain killers like Advil and Tylenol give little not no relief, but heat does. Hot showers followed by leaning propped up on pillows against a heating pad. I got this pad due to a need to be able to cover as much of my back and neck as possible for maximum relief. I'm shorter - just shy of 5 feet, so this is able to cover from the back of my head to my butt, but broad shoulders and slightly on the larger size. It is able to cover me completely but I wish it was just a few inches wider because when I shift around on the bed I have to reposition and move the pad with me. Not a major issue, just a little difficult because its between me and the pillows. Pros: - Larger size will cover most body parts, particularly if you are on the smaller to average size. - There is a large range of temperatures settings. 10 total, with specific temperatures corresponding to each level. It maxes out at 140 (boiling hot for most people, but just hot enough for me. I wouldn't mind going a little hotter) and each level jumps up or down by 5 degrees - Different time settings available ranging from half and hour to two hours - Easy to read digital read out with simplified buttons and back light to be able to see even if making adjustments in little lighting. The read out is large as well making it easy to see even with poorer vision - Cute colors - I chose red and love the color. Its nice to have cuter options - Very soft material. Not exactly what I would call plush but pleasant to the touch even on bare skin - The heat coils are are centered evenly so it do not matter which side you make contact with. Very convenient because you get the same results with out have to wrestle to be on the good side if your plug is on the opposite side Cons: - There is not option to turn off the automatic off. My previous heating pad was smaller, leading me to get this one, but did have the option to turn off the automatic off. I know its a safety feature, but can be annoying for people like me who end up spending hours on end needing to use it continuously. - The dye on coloring the pad bleeds. It has bled onto my pillows and sheets. I have not yet tried to wash them so I do not know if it stains but if this is important I recommend picking a color to closely match the color of your linens or placing a towel down to protect your linens. Over all, I would purchase again and have even considered it to have an extra to take around the house, unless I find a similarly built and sized one that does not shut off automatically.

I bought this heating pad as a gift and the recipient loves it. It helps to relax the muscles in the neck and shoulder region as well as the lower back. It’s the perfect size to use while sitting up and watching TV in bed. The controls are easy to navigate plus the heating pad has an auto shut off feature. The quality of the fabric covering is good and seems durable.

I want to give this 10 stars. This is the first heating pad I've loved since I had to throw away the 1970s one the finally the cord gave out on. First the size, it's a standard extra long size, wish it was a tad bigger and longer but it is fine. Second can we discuss the 12 different temperature settings that actually get past Luke warm.... Settings start at 104f and increases until it reaches 144f, I stay between 115, 118 to 126. When I say this thing gets hot I mean It gets hot. The 2 hour auto off has a button to increase the time by 30min increments up to 2 hours. This would be perfect for farm use too keep those babies warm or eggs about to hatch.

This thing is huge! I put it to my neck & it'll reach my knees! I'm 5'3", but if you're under 5 feet tall, it IS a heated blanket! It is so soft. And it has 10 different heat settings, plus it displays the temperature from 95⁰F to 140⁰F (I set my gas heater to 140⁰F, and I love it very hot!) You can choose how long you want it on, from .5 hour to for the auto shut off. Pros: very large in size, ultra-soft fabric, you can unplug & toss it in the washing machine Cons: not a fan of shut-off, as I prefer it on all night, but that's ok. My recommendation? Get it! The one I've had for several years died. And it was big, but nothing compared to this one. The first time I turned this one on, I draped it over me & I nearly fell asleep!
