I bought the weighted heating pad that also massages. I am glad I bought it; it works quite well. It heats up quickly, and the heat is fairly consistent. The weight is perfect. It isn't too heavy, which is good for my spinal problems. I knocked off one star because the weighted beads do shift a bit more than I expected and also because the massage function is too loud. There are three massage functions on each level (low, medium, high), but it's hard to tell much of a difference between the second and third massage styles. The massage function cuts off after 15 minutes. On the whole, I do rather like the heating pad and am considering buying a second because my daughter keeps taking it. TLDR: recommended, just be aware of the loud massage function and the weight beads moving around some.

Originally I got the smaller size, but returned it for this one. I like this size a lot better. It heats up nicely, but the massage function could be better. I don't like that it turns off after 15 minutes. The weight of the heating pad is nice and helps to alleviate some of my discomfort. I read a lot of reviews saying the product only lasted for about a year, so I got the 3 year warranty. To update: THE HEATING PAD STOPPED WORKING AFTER A WEEK. I AM FURIOUS! Update: The heating pad was definitely good the week it worked, so I was extremely disappointed when it stopped working. The customer service is top notch and they will take care of you in the event your luck is as bad as mine. I am leaving 5 stars based on the customer service. I would highly recommend the protection plan just in case.

Periodically, I have difficulty with my back stemming from multiple car accidents where I was rear-ended so I was hoping to upgrade from a typical heating pad. I purchased this in March of this year and it stopped working 3 days ago. I've used it maybe 10 times, if that, since March and now it won't heat up or vibrate. It doesn't even turn on. Thankfully I still had my old heating pad when my back started acting up the other day, but I wanted the massage feature that came with this pad. Oh well. Back to my search.

Love this heating pad! I’m a constant user of a heating pad whether it’s for my monthly cramps or neck/back pain. This heating pad is weighted which is a complete game changer! The weight of this makes the heating pad so comfortable and stable. It’s also incredibly soft and gets moderately hot. Also, there’s a massaging capability option for this device. Feels more like a vibration than a massage. Don’t use that option often, because it’s a strong vibration that can shake the bed a bit, and can be loud. Yet, can be nice especially on the lower back.

I like the weight of this product. It is very soft. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't get hot. Like.... at all. On the hottest setting, it is barely even warm. If you have clothes on, you won't be able to feel it at all. I am using it for my back right now and with a tee shirt on, I can't feel it. I expected more from Sharper Image, especially for $50. My co-worker is letting me borrow her cheaper, no name brand that gets hotter on the low setting.

I really like this heating pad. The only issue is they don’t last long before they stop working. The last one lasted about 3-4 months. It’s covers a great length of your back which provides the heat you need.
