I'm just going to get straight to it. I have severe panic disorder and my 2 other ugly friends menopause and PTSD do not get along. It makes everything worse for me. If you know... then you know. My home health nurse told me she uses this heating pad and it helps her along with medication. The TMI aside... I opened the box as soon as it arrived and put the heating pad to the test. The weight/ size and softness are great. But most of all, the combo of heat and vibration helped lull me to sleep. Even when switched off the weight helps. I can use it for heat alone or the vibration alone and of course both together. 3 levels heat and 6 levels of vibrations. It automatically shuts off. It's decent size and covers me exactly as advertised. It's seems great quality. If anything fails early, I will comeback and say so. For now, it's working and worth the money. I have zero qualms with it. It's not a cure. Just another thing to help me through this time in life. I would also recommend for tummy troubles. Yeah I have those too. I'm happy with my purchase thus far. From a member of the 'We Do Not Care Club'.

Update: customer service was very good. They resent me a new heating pad with out hassle. I hope this one will work long term. Original review: The vibrations are soothing. The weight is perfect and comforting. However the heat function stopped in less than a month. I’m so upset. I previously had bought this brand from Home Depot and it lasted 3 years. Unfortunately it’s a seasonal item there. I wish the heat function worked bc I badly need it in my cold home.

Heat settings is only 3, it is not the best with it being a weighted heating pad I understand it takes a min to get up to temp which I don't mind. The softness is great. I don't care about color really but it is what I chose. The thickness and quality is amazing. I sleep so much more relaxed. The massage settings are different and louder than I'd like, however it is still wonderful

I have purchased this same heating pad from Bed Bath and Beyond until they closed. Then Walmart I would buy them 3 of them at a time when they were on sale. The massage component doesn't last long but the heat did. Now I have purchased from Amazon and a sudden electric orange flash has happened on the one I purchased and then asked for a replacement the same thing happened. This is not safe and should be discontinued or fixed!

I use this at night to sleep instead of a weighted blanket. I should have paid more attention to the size as I should have ordered a L or XL instead of the XXL. It's still amazing and I love it, but it's almost the size of a smaller towel. It does heat up really warm. The vibration settings are great! The cord is really long, so it makes it easy to use in bed or in the living room. The corded remote is close enough to the pad, but far enough down the cord that it will not interfere with comfort. I originally had one after a surgery and fell in love with it. Needed to replace it after a fluke mishap that broke it.

This was good initially. Easy to use. It heated up really well and hot. The larger size was preferred and it is soft and weighted. PROBLEM: it stopped working suddenly after about two months! WTF? We were not able to troubleshoot and there was no way to fix it. We did discover there can be a problem because this has an auto shut off function even though I only use it about a half hour at a time. I got this one because of its larger size but the smaller one lasted much longer. VERY disappointed since as a mature adult, I ALWAYS like to keep a heating pad handy.

My old CVS heating pad died on me about 3 days ago so I had to replace it with a new one. I have difficulty sleeping at night most nights, because of a pinched nerve in my lower back, so I decided to give this Sharper Image one a try. It seems to heat up rather quickly and I really like the vibration feature. I would recommend you try this item if you have any knee, back or ankle pain(or other areas as well) because it really helped me last night. I got some good sleep!
