  • Like a warm blanket for my pool
Size: 8 Ft
Small but mighty! We had a problem with algae when we had a full sized cover. We purchased the KETNET 8 Ft Bubble Solar Pool Covers Blanket. It gives the pool just enough warmth to heat it during the day and since it floats around, it allows no algae. Great product.

  • Works great
Size: 12 Ft
It's great. It is well made, warms our pool a good 8-10 degrees plus it's catching some of the early falling leaves this first week of September .

  • Not quite the right size...
Size: 12 Ft
This solar cover seems to do its job. We had less evaporation and certainly retained chlorine levels with it on. It definitely warms the surface temperature of the pool but doesn't go much deeper, which is fine in PA during the summer. We ordered the exact size of our above-ground pool and it's easily 2 feet short of meeting the entire surface. Overall, it keeps out lots of bugs, warms some of the water, stops evaporation and chlorine reduction, and is very easy to use. I'd recommend it. ... show more

  • Love it!
Size: 18 Ft
This cover is easy to use and keeps my pool cleaner than what it would be with no cover. Pool temperatures have reached 83 degrees with no heater just this bubble cover. Quality product and easy to use. Good money for a good product.

  • Really keeps the water warm
Size: 15 Ft
Bought this towards the end of summer and though the temperature was not as hot mid-summer, 99-113 degrees, this cover took fresh water to about 76 degrees, which was perfect for an outside temp under 90 degrees. It also keeps the pool water super clean. I haven't needed to vacuum once in over a month. Just run the pump and remove small items with the hand held skimmer. ... show more

  • It Depends!
Size: 10 Ft
My hot tub is just a walled off portion of the in-ground pool. As you can see, I only ordered a cover large enough to cover the spa hoping that we could begin using it a little earlier in the season and save some money on heating costs. The first thing that I found out is that you need bright direct sun to get the solar heating effect. Partly cloudy or overcast days will not do. The pool/spa pump had been off for more than 12 hours when I measured the water temperatures on a hot afternoon in the low 90’s. At a 3” depth the pool water was 88 degrees, and at about 24” deep the temp was 85 degrees. Lifting up the solar cover and measuring the spa temps revealed the following: 108 degrees at 1/2 inch depth, 102 degrees at 2”, 90 degrees at 5”, and 84 degrees at 24”. While observing the temps on a different thermometer, the one which reads on the wall mount control panel, I started up the spa (pump.) This mixed the water within the spa and also mixed it some with the pool water by spilling over the separating wall. Initially the spa temp read 89 degrees, but it less then one minute it fell to 86 degrees. The pool also measured 86 degrees. So here are my conclusions: You need bright sun for the solar heating effect. It does a good job of heating up the top 6” of water, but you need to keep turning over the surface of the water so that the heat is spread throughout. If you only cover the spa area and that water mixes with the much larger pool water like mine did, it has no discernible effect. In addition, once the spa water is mixed with itself, that top 6” of hot water mixes with the bottom 3-4 feet of cold water thus making the heating effect negligible. Even if there was no mixing of the spa and pool waters, I wonder if the bubbling induced air pockets forming beneath the pool cover from the pump action may have had a detrimental effect on the spa heating. I think that it would have done fairly well if I had purchased a cover large enough to cover the entire pool and spa area and kept the pump running. If you have a free standing spa, I think it may be effective for solar heating if the water is constantly being turned over. I assume that it would also help hold in the heat of the water, if you put on the cover after the water has been heated and you are through using it. I think that in many cases it will be more trouble than it is worth to get several degrees of increased temperature if you have an optimal set up for it. In my suboptimal situation, it really doesn’t provide any benefit. It probably works well for preventing water evaporation and maintaining chlorine levels if the entire surface is covered, but I did not test for that. ... show more

  • Durable
Size: 12 Ft
I’m happy with this cover because it’s thicker and slightly larger than the radius of my Intex pool. It’s easy for me to fold and remove and set the cover aside, also, it’s easy to cover the pool, which I do by folding out the sections. It’s simple and easy for me and that’s a good thing.
