Pretty basic lamp socket. Does what it’s intended to do. Only negative thing I can say is the price. Why so expensive for a piece of plastic? But it is nice quality so I could be acting selfish. All in all, great product.

    • CFL Socket Works Fine
The socket itself is fine. Because I have been unable to fully waterproof its housing, the ballast is periodically destroyed -- about every two San Francisco winters. And here lies the problem: I have not been able to find a way to remove the ballast wires from the socket once inserted so I have to replace ballast and socket as a pair. This is my third socket; I'd rather it were still my first. But the price is good. ... show more
