This item was used for an aftermarket radio it looks good there is a small gap where the aftermarket radio goes up st the top but I do not think that is a product issue. I will admit the only thing I disliked was how tricky it was to put the cover in it gets caught where the cup holder is. I had to put radio in spot then put the face plate in place and reattach the radio to it without having to take apart the other piece. I have to say it looks good and couldn’t ask for anything more ... show more

Overall for the challenging fitment for this car not bad, but mine arrived cracked in two places which I superglued back and aren’t noticeable. There are gaps around the pioneer head unit I installed, but not that noticeable. Really overall not a bad product but mine arriving broken lowered my rating. The finished product turned out ok. The fit was good and the quality is a close match to the OE dash. The opening was a little small for the stereo we bought and I had to modify it but it is good for it’s purpose and the bolt holes and clips matched up perfectly.

    • Too Many Headaches!

2007 mini cooper s - This adapter will work with much effort, careful modifications, a lot f time, and even more patience. Additional tools necessary: dremel, large flat file, block of wood, and heat gun. Had to cut a block of wood the exact same size as the single din radio. The adapter is about an 1/8" too short. Used aheat gun to slowly heat the adapter and eventually wedging the block of wood into space provided for the radio. Continued to heat and stretch the adapter around the wood block. While the plastic was still warm, I switched the wooden block for the actual radio. It fit, but very tightly. Under the radio is a space for a plastic pocket/cubby, but both radio and pocket will not fit in the space provided. Its too small. Fortunately, there is a small lip on the pocket the can be filed off which will allow both pocket and radio to fit in the adapter. No screws were provided to hold the radio to the adapter, so you will have to get your own. Used the dremel to trim down the top tabs and modify two mounting holes necessary to attach the adapter to the vehicle. When all is said and done, if it wasn't a Christmas gift for my son, I would have returned it and bought something else. ... show more

Everything fits as expected and still looks pretty factory as far as textural styling. I just sprayed my gauge filler inserts with some silver BBQ spray paint to match the silver trim and it looks factory installed!!!!!
