I received this birdbath as scheduled, all parts enclosed and it was easy to assemble. I had an old firepit that had rusted out, collected water & was an eyesore. So I pitched the bowl and kept the frame, then painted it black. I leveled the dirt, added some lawn fabric , set the bird bath in the middle, secured with the provided stakes then added some decorative rocks over the fabric. Made sure it was level, then added water. It looks great. I love the metal look but since it's resin, it won't rust. The water basin is a nice width. Overall a very attractive and sturdy birdbath. (I will be adding a solar fountain and water heater soon.) Update: One more thing I am finding that I like with this birdbath. Because it screws together, the bowl is easy to unscrew so that you can empty and refill, which is very handy. Don't think I could do that with one that was one piece. Oh, and I did order and receive the solar fountain. It's the round black one that has suction cups, but can float on the water as well. It works great, sorry I was unable to upload a video. Haven't gotten the heater yet. Update: this morning I went to remove the ice from the bird bath and as I was unscrewing the bowl, it slipped and cracked. I contacted the seller to see if I could get a replacement bowl. They just emailed me that they are sending me a whole new bird bath. How awesome is that ? ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love backyard birding and over the years I have tried several different bird baths. I started shopping on Amazon for a bath with the following criteria: (1) Bath is not very deep (since you only want to put 1-2 inches for birds) (2) Bath does not have a lot of designs in the bath (the more designs and patterns, the harder it is to clean) (3) Bath is light enough to be able to move around When I first saw the pictures of this bird bath I thought it was metal. Once I figured out it was plastic I was a little hesitant but this bath is really well made. It looks great, is nice and sturdy, easy to clean and take apart if needed, has a nice flat base that is not too deep. I attached the directions, but honestly you don't need them, it is that easy to assemble. I also attached a video that I hope gives a better idea of the quality. The only thing I might do is use some longer stakes than what it came with. I get animals like raccoons that go to my bird bath so not sure if the stakes it came with will hold it down. Other than that, I am really happy with the purchase. I will update this review after 6 months or so once the bath has been exposed to the elements (i.e. sun, weather, etc.). ... show more

I was pleased with this birdbath. I've wanted one a long time, but the cost has always kept me from getting one. This is amazing, especially for the price. Looks like metal once you fill it with water. It comes with posts to put in the ground, if you're worried about wind. I put a few rocks around mine. Nice look for my garden. Made of resin, so I hope it lasts in the FL sun. I poured pea gravel into the base to make it sturdier. So far, a great buy! UPDATE: After using this bird feeder for a month, the paint in the inside bowl is flaking off the birdbath and there are gold flecks floating around in the water. I have not submitted the bird bath to any harsh scrubbing, only rinsing it out and replacing the water about every two days. I would not purchase again. ... show more

It feels pretty flimsy, it is VERY much plastic. Also it's a little crooked. Those are the only reasons I took a star off. Other than that, it LOOKS great. Unless you actually physically handle it, there's no reason anyone would suspect it's plastic. It's also easy to clean, I use a scrub brush and a little dish soap, and it's clean within 2 minutes. I love this bird bath. Looks beautiful and looks much costlier than it was. Because We have strong winds sometimes, along with doves around at times, which are quite hefty so I did what others did. I put stones in the column to give it more weight. It’s now winter and do have it outside on patio because I feed and water my wonderful Golden Finch in the winter. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First of all it's cheaper than most because it's plastic painted to look like a stone or heavier material but it is light weight empty. The stem is hollow so you can fill it with aquarium pebbles rocks to add weight in the center. Screws on just be gentle it's plastic so if you try to over tighten anything it might break. Once together moving is easy. I got a little turtle tiered rock shelf thinking it was too deep for birds but as you can see in the video little lesser goldfinches jump right in the middle as well as house finches. They perch on edge to drink and do use the turtle shelf but I don't think it is needed. I had a solar water fountain but it's not needed to attract the birds and just broke after a few weeks anyways. Just get yourself a feeding station birdseed in addition to this and your set. Keeping everything close to trees helps birds feel safer. Looks great and heavy until you get up close so it's a great investment easy to change water daily with regular garden hose. Would reccomend this over a super expensive heavy one as the birds can care less how much you spent. Its a great source of water and looks great. Went from having no birds to 20 30 birds on some days daily. Note humming birds do not use this Birdbath. But if you are on the fence want a Birdbath thinking about it but don't want to spend a bunch of money on something fancy this is for you. ... show more
