Wow, my legs are definitely getting stronger by using this for only 2 weeks! Very easy to use. Pretty much just take it out of the box and plug it in. NO assembly needed for this one. Some of the machines on Amazon need to be assembled, and I had to return one for that reason. Has remote control, which has been a great help. So, about the leg strength, for the past couple of days I've noticed that I could do some things, like standing up, without going through a lot of trouble. I can actually feel my thigh muscles contracting to lift me. Also, my balance is a lot better because my legs are stronger. This machine is also relaxing. I set it for 45 minutes and in electrical mode, it will exercise my legs and ankles. I use it on #7. Hard to believe that this type of movement can strengthen without much effort, but it does. It also has resistance mode where you do the pedaling. The instruction booklet is not clear on setting this for a mechanical option, so, I researched it and found that with the remote, you can set your machine to "Resistance" and then set the resistance level for that option. Another thing about this machine is that it doesn't slide that much without a rubber mat, but it's a good idea to get the mat in case you want to do the exercises on bare floors. This is the second one of these (different brand) that I have purchased. The first I returned the same day I open and tested it. This one is better and if the motor was a little more powerful, would be perfect. And I am sure a bit more expensive. I do think they make a second upgraded version of this one. In any event, unlike the first one, the remote works well. Easy enough to cycle through the different modes. The two issues I have is: First it kinda slides. Needs rubber or something to keep it from sliding on non run surfaces. Easy enough fix but still a fix. Second and more of an issue is the motor. If you are a heavier person, you might wanna go with the upgraded version or a better brand. The motor on this one is pretty weak. Just relaxing and putting the full weight of my legs on it (from a seated position) is enough to bog down the motor. A little effort and I can stop it from turning entirely. Thankfully my mom, whom I bought it for, is small. With that said, its a decent purchase and worth the 4 stars. ... show more
