When I received the shade, I noticed that the feet were not set at a 90° angle but what was more concerning was the soldering on one of the feet was cracked. By the time I got it mounted to my deck by a handyman because my deck was too thin, it was beyond the return time before I noticed. I reached out to the company, and they sent out a new piece immediately. I was surprised and received it within two weeks. However, the soldering was even worse and was completely missing from the oiece. I complained that if you’re going to send out a replacement part, at least look at it first. They apologized and immediately sent out another one. It arrived less than a week and was in perfect condition. Overall, the product works well, but the stars really represent the customer service

Great companion to the Solar Sail by the pool. Perfect solution to shade swimmers from the afternoon scorching sun. Very easy to extend as needed and smoothly retracts when not. Heavy duty construction. I took a star for the less-than-perfect metalwork on the anchor pole feet. Both were not flat as welded. I thought no big deal at first, however it made making the poles perfectly level difficult. I thought that was no big deal either at first until I saw that the slight pitch on the pole caused the screen fabric to sag at the top when extended. That and the fact that the included hardware is an embarrassment! Shame Shame. Worst excuse for a concrete anchor I have ever experienced. Don't even bother - threw them out and replaced with new 'old school' lead anchors and lag screws. Shimming with SS fender washers fixed the tilt also. The lost time and aggravation caused by cheap mounting hardware surely spoiled a 5-star review. The screen itself is a gem. Works perfect. Smooth and easy. Privacy and shade in seconds. Happy Happy.

We looked at a lot of different privacy options before settling on this. Our wrap around porch is not very private on one side and this did the trick. The other day it was windy so I let it roll up into the casing and the roller was smooth. Very happy with this purchase, it will get use this summer for sure!

I bought this double sided awning/privacy screen as my dining room and 8' x 12' deck face my neighbors with the identical deck, only 20 feet away, so privacy is hard to come by inside and out of the house. The first thing I will mention is that I mounted this to the deck boards using standard 1/4" bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. I read some of the reviews before installing and several people mentions that the anchor posts did not stand plumb or perpendicular to the surface, so they used washers to remedy this perceived issue. When mine arrived that was the first thing I checked for and sure enough, mine were the same. These reviews are wrong; the anchor posts are designed that way to keep the top of the screen tight. Just wanted you to know this. I've only had mine up for a few days but like it already. I would add, if installing on a wood deck, it would be wise to have an assistant. I installed mine alone and used a vise grip to hold the head of the bolt while I crawled under the deck. Overall, a great way to gain a little privacy when neighbors are close and sometimes nosey!!
