I have used more expensive sunshade fabrics in the past, and patios built with those fabrics are absolutely comfortable to lounge in with less heat. I haven't put this fabric to full test yet, I am using it to give weather protection on top of a reflexive insulator just to add color to the carport frame than for sunlight-blocking purposes. This fabric is a lot thinner than the other sunshade fabrics I used in the past so I am assuming it will not be as comfortable to use this alone to block the sunlight. ... show more

Purchased this material to make livestock curtains for horse stalls to help keep horseflies out of stalls. Horse flies here in S.E. La are BRUTAL! This option was so much more economical than horse stall curtains sold at tack store websites. Material was just as described, I just attached to poles and hung like a curtain. I zip tied heavy bolts to the bottom to keep them from blowing around. These will be western facing and exposed to a lot of summer sun, Will check back in to advise how well this holds up! June, 2023 update: shade screen has taken a beating from sun, wind, rain and curious horses and still holding up without unraveling or tears. It gets HOT in Texas, needed to shade my outside run for my chickens, this gives the perfect amount of shade with enough ventilation to let the breeze and rain through. Still have plenty left over to replace any that gets ripped up over time. Will purchase more in the future.

Will say for the price it comes with a lot vs local stores. Looks like recycled or just low quality plastic, but for shading plants it does its job. Due to lower quality, it does pull apart at times which requires more supports but still a good deal
