We are happy with our new canopy. We chose it because we wanted to protect our planting table and our Egg on rainy days. We were looking for a reasonably priced canopy/awning that was not fabric. It is not the most expensive product, but the quality was in line with our expectations. The installation might prove difficult for some people, but my husband is both an engineer and a carpenter so the installation and assembling were labor intensive but not challenging. There were two issues that had to be addressed during installation. The first was adjusting for the lip of the siding on our home. Since we have dealt with this issue when installing light figures and our security cameras, my husband made "biscuit" shims to fit beneath the braces. I have included a picture of the biscuit. I have also included a picture of the biscuit installed, just in case someone who has similar siding is considering purchasing this product. The second issue arose when one of the expansion bolts failed. We were able to order a similar expansion bolt on Amazon and it worked as well as the original. It will take two people to install the larger canopy. We would recommend anchoring the center support first and then the two ends. My husband created a template before drilling the holes. This was helpful for perfect alignment. Our experience has been 100% positive. This was the perfect product for our purposes. We have had a few heavy rainstorms since we completed the installation.     • I wish I know before buying it

as far as value, I think it's ok and they made it seem really easy to assemble and but it's really not. especially if you have two of them attached together, because they have internal screw that holds the plastic piece to the metal, but if you have a second one to install them you can use this screw for it, because there's no access to do such thing. what that meant is that it's going to be too weak and will break while installing it, and that's what happened with me. I actually had to engineer a solution to strengthen it so that I can install it. also they should have included a template to assist with drilling the holes, so I had to do this myself, which worked well. I guess it's designed to be mounted on a wood wall, but bricks are not exactly the wright wall for it. ... show more

These look nice although they were very difficult to assemble and install. The anchors that came with it did not function properly so we used 3 1/2" lag bolts. Also note: on a 32" back door, the screen door hits the awning when opening.
