Overall my opinion is positive. The negative is the lack of stability with the 10 ft size. We improvised by adding small screws to keep unit together while hanging. Definitely takes two people to attach sections together and for hanging. Three would be better. However, after completed and hung we are happy with the appearance. Very hard to assemble being so large. The pieces on the edges were damaged but luckily they slide into plastic and it hides it. There was no way to hang this awning assembled completely it wants to warp and bow you would need at least three people to hang it fully assembled. We had to take it apart and do one section at a time which is a pain to slide the plastic back together after part is installed. That being said, I was very skeptical that this awing was going to be sturdy when hung because it barely stays together not mounted but to my surprise after hanging it seems very secure. I think it would take a very strong wind to tear it down. Time will tell about the materials not sure how long it will last. One other thing is the brackets were different shades of gray. Two were the same and the others were darker. So three different shades. It is on my storage building so I was not extremely worried about it but if you are hanging it on your home you might be. ... show more

When putting the roof panels in, wet a couple of paper towels and add a bit of dish soap to it. Wet the edges of the panels and they slide right in to the clear horizontal piece. Skip using the cheap wall mounting hardware they give you and get some 1/2” x 3.5” or 3/8” x 3.5 to 4” lag bolts. (The plastic caps to cover the bolt heads will fit the 3/8” lag bolts. I highly recommend using butyl tape on the brackets where they mount to the exterior wall. Windy here so I’ll be curious to see how this holds up. ... show more

Not the easiest thing to put together. The instructions are vague. Rain Water does get into the panels, which is part of the poor design. I had to silicone the seams so water doesn’t leak through. If I hadn’t gone through all the trouble to assemble and install. I would return. It’s a great concept, just isn’t waterproof along the seams. ... show more
