I just purchased my third of these umbrellas. I purchased the first 2+ seasons ago for my deck and was really happy with it, so a couple of months ago, I bought a second to put on the opposite end of the deck - having full coverage as the sun moves throughout the day is glorious! It was interesting to compare the modifications they made from the first to the second (over a couple of years). A couple changes were clearly cost-cutting - and the second was 50% cheaper than the first, so that's relevant! Some other changes clearly made the product better. Notably, the sliding mechanism that lets you adjust tilt - I thought for sure that would be the first part to go on the first umbrella - it's WAY improved on the second. Alas, a couple of weeks ago, I left my umbrellas open in slightly too high wind. The new umbrella was totally fine, but the old one's vertical post was bent (when the umbrellas are tilted, they can act a bit like a sail). I think I got reasonable life out of that umbrella, but before ordering a new one, I wanted to see if I could just replace the damaged part. I contacted support@wikiwiki-us.com and a friendly human got back to me within a business day and emailed back and forth trying to make it work. Ultimately, they didn't have that part for the old umbrella, but they gave me a little discount on a new one. I felt they treated me very well. Interestingly, comparing the part that failed on the old umbrella to the similar part on the new one ... the new one is way beefier! Clearly, someone paid attention to the possibility (or experience) of failure in that part and improved it. I really respect that. To round out your purchase, search for the wikiwiki umbrella cover and get the one that's $25-30 - I didn't see it the second time when I browsed their store - I had to search for it. The cover is wonderfully, comically over-engineered, and it kept the material like new, even after a couple of Michigan winters. Strongly recommend. ... show more

Updated review: A replacement umbrella was promptly sent and included the cover which was a nice touch! It appears to be a different brand, Bluu, but very similar in design. This brand is backed with a one year warranty, so I’m a little confused, but pleasantly surprised. I’m wondering if it’s because it came directly from the seller—anyway, I’m thankful for the replacement and appreciate the seller reaching out! Original review: This is the second offset umbrella we have purchased. The first, a different brand, lasted almost a year before the cord that connects from the crank to open the umbrella snapped. This one didn’t even last two months! We closed them on windy days, and have a properly weighted base (neither have ever fallen over). Unfortunately, I’ll have to look at spending more for a product actually covered under warranty, because 30 days just doesn’t cut it. If you want to replace them every two months and spend over $540, this is the umbrella for you! ... show more

See below for the updated review: I didn’t even have this for a year and it already ripped when it tipped over. Not sturdy and quality is not good. Don’t waste your money on this cheap umbrella. Update 4/29/2023 We have received a refund for the umbrella and want to be fair with our review. The customer service was excellent. Seriously. Responsive. Helpful and committed to “making it right.” We do appreciate that. As for the product itself… it’s a nice umbrella. Here’s some suggestions: the 4 weight containers, make these interconnected. Right now a little U shaped metal piece you push into holes keeps them together. However, with high wind or a gust of wind while the umbrella is out, the little metal pieces come up and is not safe. Create an interlocking system between the 4 weight containers. Supply (four) 8in long anchors that can be hammered into the ground. Having one on each “leg” would also help keep it sturdy and upright. If on concrete, then having the interlocking weight containers will help keep it sturdy and upright. Also, on the hand lock that puts pressure on the pole to keep the umbrella up and out… make the backside of that piece a hard rubber, that will “grab” onto the pole better so it doesn’t slide from the weight of the extended umbrella. I’m not engineer, but these are simple things that would fix potential issues. Again, a few product improvements - coupled with their excellent customer service and this would be the #1 seller on Amazon in no time. NEEDED a large umbrella for the deck area that gets constant sun. This one seems to be terrific quality! Set it up and realized we definitely needed the additional weighted base add-on… stinks to spend more money, but we cannot open the umbrella without it tipping over and there’s no way we are drilling onto the deck. Be careful when opening and closing on your own and really try not to “hug” the umbrella as you’re doing it. I winded up pinching my arm because the weight of the umbrella kept moving down and my soft skin just went with it! Ouch!! Love it, either way :) ... show more

Umbrella and stand look great. Love the color blue. Sadly this umbrella did not work well due to I live in a windy location. I spoke with customer service and they were excellent to make sure I was happy with the umbrella and provided a refund even after the return date. This umbrella is pretty good for the price...it opens and closes smoothly and provides good shade from the sun...it was easy to assemble...I bolted the base to my deck floor because we live on top of a hill and get a lot of wind...we usually get 2-3 years use from an umbrella of this quality
