The umbrella is twelve feet (12’) wide, I had concerns about the size of the base weight I should purchase, I purchased the 230 pound base weight & it’s more than enough to hold this umbrella. Because of the size & weight of this umbrella, if you put it in the right position around the pool, you can adjust it very easy & quickly with the push of the handle, you can also spin it around with the push of a button with your foot. Loved the umbrella, very striking. Was gone one day and had horrible wind and it blew over. Had it up and wrapped closed. Broke where you can swivel and tilt. Trying to find out if I can buy a replacement pole. Have had it 2 yrs and still looks great!

Assembly was easy, and they even gave hints on what screws to use so there was no confusion. We love the sturdiness and ease of opening the umbrella and adjusting the height and the angle The umbrella itself seems to be a good quality material. However, as others have mentioned, this is not a wine colored umbrella, we would say it’s more of a burnt orange. We are not unhappy with that color, it just seems if it’s really a burnt orange just sell it as a burnt orange color. I would highly recommend this umbrella. It is solid a great value and we’ve had it under wind conditions and it’s holding up well. Update: I had to contact customer service for a few questions I had. They were prompt and polite. We purchased this on sale and it looks nice for the money. The knob is plastic but the whole umbrella has held up well. We had a bad wind storm last night and the strap held the umbrella closed and the pole stayed in the stand (which was purchased elsewhere). The color was nice and what we expected.
