I recently bought this a little over a week ago. I ordered the the 2tb hard-drive. This went in sale for 45% off on the weekend of my birthday so I used a gift card for this purchase. This sale was active on the first full week in June in 2023. The hard-drive was well packaged and was not damaged when delivered. So for the installment is vary easy and only takes at most 5-10 mins and all you need is a screwdriver set. So this is my first internal hard-drive I bought for my ps5. So I would recommend watching a YouTube video on how to install one if you don't now how I would recommend YouTuber John Glasscock on how to install this hard-drive. In the video he does a clear step by step video on how to properly install this hard-drive. I would recommend watching his video to help install this type of hard-drive. Once the hard-drive is installed and everything Screwed in and face plates back on. Put your system stand back on properly plug everything in and start up your system. When Your system is starting up The 1st thing you should see on the tv screen is the ps5 new hardware too format the hard drive. Then select format the hard drive and the system should restart up to the main menu. Then go to your settings into your system for your games and apps and select to For downloads for your games to the hard drive. I even moved all my ps5 games to my new hard-drive and only took around 5 mins for all the games to move on there. Overall the hard-drive works and it's fast and my games play with no issues. The Western Digital 4tb ps5 ssd is a great and fast drive. I would highly recommend this or their 2tb version. Easy to set up and format. I was able to get this 4tb version on prime day which helped out alot. I don't expect this ssd to cause me any problems now or in the near future. There really isn’t much to it following the instructions on YouTube which takes all less than 5 minutes to follow. Built in heat sink and great storage capacity it’s a requirement for PS5. My advice get one with the heat sink built in less work and room for error.
