This does a good job at charging, it comes with a wall plate that you mount next to your plug. If you have a Tesla like in my case you will need to use the adapter. The line can get warm but my car will auto turn off once charging is complete. It charged at about 33 miles an hour for me so, about 8 1/2 hours for a full charge from empty which is a good night sleep. I don’t usually let it get to empty so a 4-5 hour charge usually brings it to full. You have the ability to mount it outside since it’s weather resistant but the garage works best especially since the cord is long. It has an RFID tag to allow you to secure it so someone doesn’t us it without authorization. However, since it’s in my garage I haven’t used that feature but it’s nice to have. It would also be nice to have an app with the charger but for that, I would have probably given it five stars. Without an app you don’t have a way to monitor it other than checking your car. This charger arrived well packaged with its components separated into three layers well protected by good quality foam packaging. Installing the unit is a breeze as you only have to lag the base plate to the wall within reach of a NEMA 14-50 outlet. I debated opening the case and looking to see if I could hard wire it, but decided to install the 14-50 outlet as it serves a dual purpose of also being usable to plug in a MIG welder into a 240V outlet which I've been using on 120V up to this point. ... show more

This 240V level 2 EV charger from Wattsaving is a quality and well made charger that can get up to 9.6kw. you get a 24.6Ft charging cable, RFID tag for secure charging, easy to install mounting plate. Installation was easy using the NEMA 14-50 plug and the charger sits perfectly and securely on the mounting plate. The media could not be loaded. We've had an EV for 6 years and have always had used just the 110v charger to maintain charge overnight. Well, we decided its time for a Level 2 charger and this looked like a great option. Installation was a breeze, the mounting bracket is lightweight and sturdy so it makes mounting really easy. The actual unit slides into the bracket easily and doesn't move when you wrap or unwrap the charging cable. As soon as you plug it in you get a nice pleasant purple light on the unit to indicate power is on. Upon plugging into your car to charge it will pulse green indicating that it is charging. Our Leaf immediately recognized it as a new Level 2 Station and automatically added it to its map. It showed charging at 6kW which is great. I'll have to test my sister's EV6 to see if we can achieve the 9.6kW output like it is supposed to be capable of. It's a really nice compact unit and is basically silent which is nice. I really like the ability to enable to RFID charging, and it is super easy to set up. The RFID tags are cute little cars on a key chain which makes them easy to identify. If we end up moving this mount outside like we are thinking of doing, we will certainly use this feature instead of leaving it in the default mode.
