Honestly just a really cool set. The pencils are all really sleek and they function like a they should. The fact this was the product that showed me .03 graphite existed feels wrong but it is what it is.

These mechanical pencils have a nice weight to them. I've wanted a .03mm pencil for a while, this set has one and colored lead which I thought was a fun addition. I got everything in my purchase and the case was not cracked.

... Well first let me say this is not the top quality of my husband's drafting pencil set. However he is an artist and I simply love them for journaling and the occasional sketching. For the price that I paid I would definitely buy them again however, very good value for the money. Functionality: They are very comfortable to hold. And easy to use. Even the thinner lids have not broken on me yet which I'm impressed with. Erasability: I did not realize right off that underneath the metal lid on the end of the pencil was where the eraser was lol. When my husband pointed out to me and I finally realized I could erase with them without using the bigger eraser that came with them I was very happy. And they do a very good job of erasing without leaving ugly smudges or smears. The pencils themselves do not smear either which I like. Even the heavier ones. The case was really for me just the packaging that they came in not the highest quality not one that I would keep them in and I ended up moving them to my permanent pencil case. However would I recommend them? Absolutely. For a beginner artist or someone who just likes to journal and have good pencils I would absolutely recommend them. For serious artist or a professional I might say these are okay for your third best pencil set. I would not buy them as a gift for a serious artist but perhaps for one of my children.

Pencils feel heavy and high quality! The ad photo makes them look like a dark gray color, but they are actually black. They write very clean and come with multiple led refills in all sizes, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 and 2.0. Great value for comfortable to write with. They look great and they stay sharp! Best performing mechanical pencil, for the price!

I have been drafting / engineering since the 1970's. There are better pencils, but for the cost they are a very good buy. I commonly use the .5mm, and the 2mm for layout work.

i have several of these nicpro sets, some definitely better than others. this is one of the better ones for sure. great selection, and nice design. has one of each size lead with no repeats, and they have a nice weight and feel to them. the grips arent too high or too wide as some other sets are. decent plastic case. makes a nice "throw in a bag and take with me" set if this is something you need on the go.
