  • Had for 1 1/2 years now. Only 4 star if on sale. Hope to be repeat buyer in 2 weeks.
Size: Medium Color: Black / Grey
I bought one a year and a half ago. The ramps are slippery, but you just need to put strips of Gorilla tape going up it to help with that (rabbit does not seem to like the taste of Gorilla tape, so she never tries to rip it off and eat it). I put my rabbits food at the top to make her learn how to use the ramps. At first she slides, but after a week she had mastered the thing with no issues. Follow the instructions for assembly and read all the steps first before starting the first one, you will have no issues putting it together that way. When putting in the shelving (or floors) make sure you snap them in securely or they might come loss, but if you snap them in securely they will never even budge a little. I found removing the rabbit and vacuuming the cage, rather then removing everything inside of it to clean was best, since the snaps are plastic and can loss that strong grab on the cage it's self. I found that the instructions want you to put the levels in a way suitable for maybe a ferret, but I gave more room on the top one from the roof and tried to put them close enough so that the ramps was as straight as possible (easier for her to get around - if you don't, your rabbit will never make it). My rabbit has had no issues with this cage and seems to always be very comfortable in it. She only hangs out on the top level, does not like hanging out on the floor. The two major issues I have found is finding a replacement for the plastic catcher at the bottom and that my rabbit can pee in the corner making her urine miss the inside of the catcher and going over the wheel. Just by looking at the thing I would have thought that someone with some common sense would have extended the bottom corners to allow the plastic catcher to cover the entire bottom slightly past the edges. I also added some plastic netting around each level, since my rabbit thought it was cool to kick her little balls of poop out of the cage to keep it clean, but now when she does this it falls to the center and into the plastic catcher at the bottom like it should. I'm only buying a new one because one corner of the bottom cage has started to rust and I can no longer clean that corner effectively due to constant restroom visits there. The rest of the cage is still as brand new as when I bought it over a 1year and a half ago. I also understand how erosive rabbit pee is, so I don't blame the cage for rust only that the catcher does not fully extend to the edges, so that if she tried to pee in the very corner the pee will still go straight into the catcher rather then the mounts holder the catcher causing some spillage outside of the cage (Keep a large trash bag under the cage to protect your floor from this when it happens. All in all if you can get it for under $100 then you cant complain about anything, after all the same thing does tend to universally run above $100 dollars and can get to $200 if you buy it in store. If they still have it for 79.99 in 2 weeks they will have a repeat buyer with me! :D ... show more

  • Poop everywhere
Size: Medium Color: Black / Grey
For the price, this is a big, sturdy cage. I've seen similarly sized hutches for double the price. Our hutch is black and gray, not blue and white. We bought this for my daughter's chinchilla. My husband and daughter put it together with no problems. We bought an exercise wheel after we put the hutch together and realized that it wouldn't fit through the doors, so my husband had to take the whole top off. Not a huge deal, but be forewarned: put your bigger accessories in before the hutch is fully assembled. The major con for me is that there are no poop guards on the shelves. Our chinchilla poops everywhere, mostly on the shelves. At night, when she is the most active, she goes crazy hopping from shelf to shelf, or from shelf to ramp, spraying the poop off of the shelves and onto our floors. Even with daily cleaning of the shelves, there is ALWAYS poop on my floors. I am currently looking into covering the shelves somehow with fleece or building/attaching some sort of poop guard. But in the meantime, I have already purchased a small handheld vacuum and a mini brush/dustpan specifically for this purpose. If we can get get the poop spraying under control, then I will be much happier with this hutch. ... show more

  • Love this cage!
Size: Medium Color: Black / Grey
We have had the cage for a while, but we only got our baby Bunji a few weeks ago. I like that the tray will fit in a trash bag- it makes for quick and easy cleanup. I had no problems with assembly. It also protects the tray from wear and tear. I would recommend only taking the shelves out if you have to since they are plastic. One of my clips broke but the shelf seems fine still. My rabbit had problems with sliding down the ramps, but he just jumps from level to level instead. I just purchased the ware pet playpen and I am hoping it fits this cage well so I can give the bunny more outside time. I also believe if the shelves gave out that you could cut some pine and make wooden shelves. I have no problem fixing little things over time, so overall I love this and would purchase it again. *EDIT* The Ware clean living playpen arrived Tuesday and fits this cage perfectly. I ordered the covers for the playpen and it fits nice and snug on both top and bottom. It keeps my floor clean and is machine washable. These two items are items I would recommend for those who purchase this cage to provide play space, social interaction, and expand living area for small animals. Also would be good for those whose animals have problems accessing the other levels of this hutch due to slippery ramps etc. This is even more reason I would purchase another of these hutches if necessary in the future. ... show more

  • Nice cage
Size: Medium Color: Black / Grey
SIZE Compared to my flight cage this is much smaller however it is bigger than the cage that our ferret Dude was in. My granddaughter who is 7 just measured at 3 feet 10 inches yesterday and included is a photo of her standing next to it. I am a visual person so I figured this may help some. ASSEMBLY From reviews I read I thought I would have a much harder time! I would recommend putting the top together first. Don't worry about the sides until all of the screws are in. DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS UNTIL END! This will make your job much easier. My granddaughter helped me AND it took about 1/2 hour total. THE RAMPS AND SLIDES These are a nice feature. Dude is all over the place! I would recommend clicking each ramp to the slides and working from top to bottom. ***ADDED TWEAK*** ***I took a bread tie and twisted it on the bottom wire panel so that Dude can't slide it out. *** ... show more
