  • Easy assembly and access for cleaning
We bought this hutch for our Rex rabbit who had previously been in a very large pen. The assembly was easy and parts well made. The fir wood smell was minimal and actually pleasant. Our Rex doesn't chew on the hutch since we provide it many chew toys. The wire is thin but strong enough to easily hold water bottles and feeders. The top access doors are very helpful and make cleaning easy. We don't bother pulling out the trays. We shopped around for rabbit hutches at Tractor Supply, PetSmart, and Rural King but this one is much nicer, built better, and less expensive. I'm very pleased with no regrets. ... show more

  • For the price point decent piece
I had no trouble assembling this myself today, it took me all of 35 minutes, of course I was supervised by my Rottweiler, she made sure it was done right, it also helped having tons of IKEA furniture building experience. I made sure to use the predrilled holes when putting on the ladder bracket, I had no trouble getting the pan in afterwards. I had a gouge in one of the frame pieces but it's inside so not overly visible. All in all for the price point it is a decent piece. Directions are very clear and easy to follow. My Guinea Pigs are loving all the room they have now. The latches on the top doors are as others have stated and flimsy but I placed the loop far enough down and that made it tighter, won't come open on its own for sure. Pretty secure when appropriately placed. ... show more

  • Guinea Pig Condo
This is a really good cage, my guinea pig has tons of room. Airing it out for 3 days outside is crazy especially if you live in the Pacific Northwest, I just let it air out for 2 days inside with a constant fan blowing at it. It’s real wood, highly recommend using a screw gun to put it together. It’s pretty huge, and not too heavy. The latches are ok, not the best metal but it does the job if you line them up correctly. The color is basic but I do like it. ... show more

  • Easy Assembly and Good Value
Can easily be assembled in 30-45 minutes. Wood and wire are cheap, but it’s not like you are trying to confine a lion. I glued the joints/connecting panels to improve the strength. The rabbit and my daughter love it. Good value for what it is and ease of assembly. Wouldn’t consider it for outdoor use, doubt it would last 6 months. ... show more

  • Good enough for Miklo!
For starters, this is NOT particle wood. This is REAL FIR WOOD and does have a “wood” smell that will eventually go away. The instructions do tell you to air it out before putting it together. I did have to make a few modifications to best fit our needs. The trays are shallow so if you put ANY bedding and you attempt to slide them out for cleaning, it’s a guarantee that it’ll all fall out in the process of moving it. The latches provided for the top doors are also VERY cheap. They have the weight of a soda-can tab. The other latches are perfectly fine. For those who don’t mind spending another $25 bucks to get this enclosure retrofitted to accommodate easier cleaning and full proofing jail breaks if you have an escape artist like I do (Miklo who is a Holland Lop Bun), then hear me out. I went with this hutch because of the size. There’s others similar in size, but the bottom cubby is shorter in height. I wanted to make sure Miklo had ample space to jump from one area to another. One other thing that I like about this hutch is that the trays are layered with waterproof material. The outer part is wood, but the inner part is water proof. I haven’t figured out how to make it sound proof though. Lining them with silicone was a failure as Miklo immediately attempted to chew the mat. I bought 2 totes from Target (IRIS 40 Quart Sliding Underbed Storage Bin - 28.5”L x 18.06”W x 6.25”H). Once you cut the top edging, it’ll sit flush to either side of the enclosure. If you look at my picture, you’ll see the bottom left side with the tote. One other thing that was coincidental was that the one side I cut lower actually sat flushed between the openings of both bottom enclosures so Miklo could literally roll from one side to another if he wanted to. By the way, the area with the tote is his potty area. I have been able to scoop out the bedding with no problem, but you can also slightly raise the enclosure to slip it out from underneath. The tray for this area is on top of the Second Story and it gives my bun more “privacy” as well as a barrier between him and his food. Secondly, I replaced the 2 latches with safety hasps found on Amazon (Prime-Line MP5056 Safety Hasps, 2.5 inch Zinc plated). They work like a charm! Lastly, Step #3 calls for adding the metal plate where the bottom of the ladder will sit on. DO THIS LAST and with the bottom tray inserted. I did it at Step #3 and the tray would not slide in. Hope this helps! Miklo absolutely enjoys his new enclosure (when he’s not free roaming). ... show more

  • Broken tray
My rabbit did stomp her back feet and broke the corner so I do need to buy a replacement tray for under the first level of the hutch. Would love to know if anyone knows where to get replacements.

  • Nice cage
So it was fairly easy to assemble when you find all the markings for the pieces. It was mostly sturdy it kinda wiggled but it was for guinea pigs so 🤷. My pigs never learned how to use the ramp I almost stapled a popsicle stick railing to the cage but ended up selling it on Facebook market place. Where I disclosed all the issues I had with it. Cleaning wasn't easy. These animals need more bedding then the slot area provided for the trays so I had to scoop out all the bedding. Since the ramp isn't removable it was kind of annoying to clean and the doors access is small. Honestly if the pigs had got a handle on the ramp I probably would have kept it. But they started to eat it and started bitting on cage. For two pigs the bottom area just wasn't enough space. ... show more

  • Great product!!
This rabbit cage surpassed all of my expectations! It was easy to assemble and looks great in my grandson’s bedroom. It is easy to clean and gives so much space for his bunnies to play and sleep. This might just be the best gift I have ever given him!
