Mine lasted about half of a season. When I went to open my pool this year, the pump is completely seized. So, since its only been 10 months, I called the manufacturer, sat on hold for a long time, and when I finally got someone, they said in order to use the warranty, I need to send them a video of what the pump is doing. Of a seized pump, that will do absolutely nothing. So, I grabbed a video of it not working, and responded to the email they sent me with the video. Their email system rejected the email as junk. Thats going to make it real hard to use the warranty, if they require a video to use the warranty, but then reject emails with videos as spam. Im feeling like I probably got ripped off on this one. Ill update if they actually stand behind the warranty and send a replacement

I purchased the VIVOHOME 2.0HP 115V Variable Speed Pool Pump and unfortunately received a defective and unsafe unit. The issue is with the pump itself. It overheats very quickly, blows every fuse it’s connected to, and the circuit board shows visible burn marks around the fuse area. This was not an installation or power supply issue—it is a clear manufacturing defect and a serious safety concern. After contacting VIVOHOME customer support, they initially issued only a partial refund and sent a replacement electrical control board. Replacing the board did not fix the problem, and the pump continued to overheat and fail. At that point, customer support stated they would issue a full refund and confirmed that the item did not need to be returned. Despite this assurance, the full refund has not been issued to my original payment method. While defects can happen, what matters is how they are resolved. Between the unsafe failure of the pump, the unsuccessful repair attempt, and the lack of follow-through on the promised full refund, I cannot recommend this product or seller. Buyers should proceed with caution.
