Came in a 6 foot box for a 12 foot awning. Quality is OK - looks ok installed. Awning material seems good. Assembly took two people over three hours. (we are not dummies but neither are we brilliant craftsmen) If we were going to do another one the time to assemble might be 45 munutes less.) Hanging it on the house took another hour. We had to replace our Christmas Tree Shops 15 year old awning. It was so inexpensive we didn't have high hopes but it lasted 15 years, and was so easy to put up. This one here was ridiculous to install. Preface to say we are VERY handy and can figure any challenge out. But this thing is cumbersome and I don't think the people who designed it ever had to install one. Even the bolts securing it to the arm are rubbing against the material so I am sure it will rip as the awning is rolled in/out over time. We took an hour to put it together but a whole week of sessions to install because it was so frustrating. Like 4 sizes of wrenches and automatic tools needed. Our hands couldn't fit behind the bars at all and bolts and screws lost there place and fell SO many times! We had to make a lever to cradle the thing to squeeze fingers behind to twist screws. The arms are spring loaded so we had to tape them down from hitting us in the head. When completely installed the holes didn't line up-- we actually had to remove a bolt that instructions had us install just to secure to the bracket. When the thing was finished and we rolled it out, it's angle is so sharp and declines toward the ground at a fast slope. We have it mounted 9 feet high and can only stand under it for the first 3 feet. Rolled out all the way it lands at about 4 feet ( height of a railing) So we can't extend it the full way. We ended up finishing the install on Fathers Day and my husband exclaimed this is going to be returned! In order to use it that day my son came up with the genius idea to prop up the end with tent poles so the thing was usable. I don't know if we will be successful with a return or not but we are very disappointed! ... show more

Worst instructions I've seen. The quality is great. With the instructions it took 2 of us to figure out how to put it together. Still one part we have no clue what it does. I have written the vendor twice for information. And provided photos. They said it looks great but never answer the questions I found a away to motorize the awning. The instructions were very easy to follow and they were very clear. The only thing I am upset about is that I got an used awning instead of a new one. I had sent a complaint already with the pictures of the open package and small damages, but didn't get any answer yet.

I was going to return cause I didn’t want another project. But it turned out much easier then I thought. Instructions were bearable. Quality seem to be as good as the one I took down which lasted 7 years. Still worked. But was faded and shabby.

Instructions were not clear and difficult to understand even when looking at the picture. Took six hours to assemble the awning and finally got it up. Cheaply made I’m lucky if I get two years out of this. Do not I repeat do not waste your time and money with this awning.

Seriously disappointed. We got the all installed. which to do properly till about 2 and 1/2 hours. Opened and found this writing on the canvas. We tried to wash it off with now luck we are sad.
