This seat is built well and is a good price. It's very cushioned well and comfortable to sit in. It compares very well to the original seat in my Bolens GT-1800 lawn tractor. I was looking forward to using it, but ultimately it couldn't be used. It comes with a set of position adjusting sliding mounts. The holes in the seat for the mounts don't quite line up with the holes in the mounts themselves; they need to be kind of wedged in to be used with the 4 captive nuts in the seat bottom. When mounting them and tightening them down, I found that the seat bottom metal deformed, which was surprising to me. Still usable, but not as strong as I thought it should be and might be a weak spot with continued use. The right hand side sliding mount has a set of catches (notches) and a release handle; the other side slides freely. I really liked the idea of being able to adjust the position of seat. However, while I never actually rode my tractor with the seat installed, I was worried that the left hand slider may slide around a bit going over bumps and hills. I would have liked to have seen a cable to another release lever and notch on the left hand side slider to ensure the seat won't slide on one side. There is a built in occupancy sensor made to kill the engine if you stand up / fall off the seat. Unfortunately, on the Bolens GT series and Troy-Bilt GTX series tractors, shorting (closing) this circuit kills the engine, but this seat's sensor is shorted when sitting. The sensor is wired the opposite of what these tractors expect. This means the tractor runs when not seated (and brake off) but when seated, the engine dies. To be compatible with more tractors it would be great if this seat included a toggle switch or another set of leads to be able to wire the seat so that "open" is "seated" and "closed" is "unseated". I also tried mounting the seat directly to the seat pan on the tractor (skipping the rails). In this setup, the seat was 4-5 inches too far forward. An offset bracket would have to be used to be able to position the seat farther back. In summary, I believe this seat would work well for the Bolens / Troy-Bilt tractors if: - both sliding rails were notched and were locked via an adjustable cable - occupancy sensor allowed reversing its output so that "seated" was "open" ... show more

I have a craftsman riding mower that I bought in 2007. The seat of the motor deteriorated over the years and I have been looking for a replacement seat for a long time. The only replacement seat that is OEM that you will find are used seats at best. After a lot of looking, I finally decided to pull the trigger on this VEVOR SEAT. This seat is adjustable and slides forward and back. It is a better quality seat than the OEM seat that came with the mower. My neighbor liked it so much. He ordered one for his craftsman mower also. The install is very easy, just take your time and you will figure it out. It looks better, feels better, and is much better quality than the original seat. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it to anybody with an older craftsman riding mower that needs a new seat. Mounting is a breeze just give it some time. Went right on my old mower. Only had to drill one hole. Looks and fits good. Comfortable enough for what its for. Was disappointed that the supplied bolts for the rails to the seat are about 5mm too long. I was unable to locate the correct size socket head bolt so I ended up adding another 1/8" thick washer to take up the excess length. I expected to have to come up with my own hardware for the bottom rails onto the machine but when it comes with the upper bolts they should be the correct length. ... show more

This VEVOR Universal Tractor Seat is very nice, well made, and appears durable if taken care of. Looks very comfortable, but has basic installation instructions and no hardware to mount it to whatever you need it for. Additionally, this is not a universal seat. We were assured it would fit our Husquvarna YTH 22V46 Tractor. However, the VEVOR seat comes with a 2-Wire Safety Switch. Husquvarna’s use a 4-Pin, 3Wire harness for safe operation. The VEVOR seat has no instructions for installing nor recommendations on how to wire the safety switch. To use with a Husquvarna Lawn Tractor like the YTH Series, you need a 5-pin 12V automotive relay to safely convert the 2-wire seat switch to the standard 3-wire harness of the Husqvarna without disabling the safety features. ... show more

Great replacement! Fits my Snapper no problems! Some reviewers said that hardware was not included, it was included with mine. I did have to buy new bolts only because the Snapper bolts were to wide to fit in the rails. Not a big deal, new seat deserves new bolts anyway.
