For the price this is well worth it. A couple things to note. I’m 6’2” and it fits me fine. The adjustable seat I have lowered almost all the way and can comfortably extend my arms all the way. The padding isn’t as thick as some of the name brand ones but it’s still comfortable and doesn’t hurt the arms. A quick tip for assembly. Do yourself a favor and grab an impact driver with a 17mm socket and a 17mm standard wrench. If the impact is adjustable put it on a slower speed. It is capable of denting the metal so slow the speed down a notch and it’ll be fine. These tools will speed up assembly 10 times. I put mine together in 10min no joke. I’m rating this product specifically and it qualifies for 5 *. This isn’t a review comparing it to a piece of Precor equipment. Just keep that in mind when deciding to buy. The bench is well built just a little short for my arms. I am 5' 10" tall and I have the seat all the way down and my arms still hang way down on the bench. Wish I could raise the place your arms rest. But not taking apart and sending back. It is nice though.

It's okay. I'd qualify that by cost, and quality and more clear instructions for assembly. I'll qualify the assembly thing - I could assemble it without instructions. The diagrams, however tiny-unclear they are to save ink possibly... I was winding up with "extra" washers. Ah, well - they are not extra, they are intended to be put under the Bolt-head. Possibly to do two things (?), not scratch the paint when twisting the head and bolt during assembly and/or potentially reinforce the kind of thin gauge metal the piece is made of in addition to the "Plates" you bolt through so a not to crush the Frame pieces. It would be nice to suggest since is not clear that you should consider doing that, putting a washer on under the Bolt-head. Personally I think those washers accomplish neither task and one would "crush" the metal a bit nonetheless. With those lock washers, the old "tight + 1/4 turn" is plenty since the metal starts to dimple anyway and the Nylock-nuts will hold it there. And, I was not going to disassemble it to then add them. So, I feel it's a soft three-star possibly a two-star item due to the above and the price. With all that said - however you get it together and etc. and if can overlook the scratched paint (no touch up supplied and know better than to ask the Labeled OEM or Amazon the seller/shipper - it's a piece of equipment that will last more or less. What may not "last" would be the thin Vinyl used for pad covering (staple a towel? etc.). As far as "fit" as I read and was concerned well - I am 6ft and in younger days fairly prolific health, fitness person for work and health - no "ego lifting" etc. But, I pushed plenty of weight so, meaning, not "new" to equipment of all types. So, with that said - it should fit most folks I feel, IMO. I would want the steep angle so that's not an issue. The reach for the loaded bar, well, pick your equipment style - there's other ways to do preacher curls. One would have to possibly even stand, guard your back if heavily load a bar, to "setup" to sit back down and do your set. Lighter bars or more "usual" weight ranges, I am able to sit and start and do it. The only other adjustment for me was I would slid down a bit to make sure I missed the "rack" that holds the bars. It's just two or more inches but I like to do as full a range as slow as possible and therefore use less weight to hit my Max-rep set. If get sloppy or etc. about your sets, ignoring form even a little - they won't get in your way. Nonetheless, that slight slide if fine with me. I have not messed with the seat height and left it mid way and seemed to work on first test use. That seat will likely shift me and may get a more facilitating angle. And, finally, as far as the preacher board (what I call it) - it's plenty big - anyone should be able to use it. And, I felt on first use, the good affect of this isolation and protection of my back which allowed good form and more weight which would be tough with single Dumb-bells. I do bent rows easily with 50 lb dumbbells which, IMO can hurt you if not deliberate with "setting up" for the curl or pull or row. So, I hope that helps someone in some way. Ultimately - you'd have to simply try it and if really hate it, return it - so careful with assembly and packing material. Mine was delivered with pre-ripped up box more or less so I am sure that's not a return issue since Amazon would be aware of it. The paint scratches is really about the OEM not bubble wrapping and separating the Frame pieces well. Yes, so again, overall a 3-star item which still makes it purchase worthy - in my opinion or would not bother writing this much. ... show more

Easy to assemble by yourself, no help needed. Took me 40m from start to finish. The frame is sturdy and the angle is great. I’m using it as a bench for other exercises too. It is light enough to move around and heavy enough to stay still while using.
