Instructions aren’t great but if you have ever assembled anything you can do it alone. Took me solo in my cramped apartment 30 mins to get it assembled and then up on the back porch. One wish is that the adjustable spring feet were on top not the bottom as pretty much all roof eves are at an angle. Had to push it into place to make it stay but so far so good. Will update after a few tests in wind and rain coming up ... show more

It was very easy to set up and my neighbors were asking where I got it. I love the fact that it is retractable too. It doesn’t just help with the heat— it also adds aesthetic to our apartment! We really love it!! Wish we got it sooner. Hopefully it’ll last long.

We bought this awning for our new apartment patio that gets a lot of sun. The awning once put together is fine. Nothing fancy about it. Legs are a little wobbly so we’ll see how long it lasts. The worst part of it was the assembly. “ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED” is no joke on this product. You have to put everything together and nothing is labeled on the physical components. My husband builds elevators and he said this was worse than building an elevator. The finished product is alright, it helps with our sun problem but it was FUN to put together. I’ll pay more next time in hopes for some parts being assembled. ... show more

I put together the parts myself. The wife helped with assembly. Easy to do it with help of a YouTube video on assembly. Didn't follow the instruction booklet precisely but it made the project very easy to put parts together.

Took a little while to build but it came out pretty well. It’s not the most stable so I suggest reinforcing the fixture. We ended up tying the awning to our fence so it doesn’t fall over with wind.
