I want to love this dress. It has a style that combines classic and unique in a way we don't often see. I chose a soft grey-blue that looks great on me, and I was pleased by the quality construction and the price. I could see buying a couple more dresses in this style. But the fit is disappointing. I followed the size guide instead of buying my usual size, and I could definitely go down a size. The bigger problem is vertical fit, not horizontal. Either the drafting scale they use (the way they decide how big to make each part of the garment) is based on someone who's extremely short-waisted, or they thought it would look good to put the waistband up around the floating ribs (it doesn't) . The waist of the dress is so high on me that the bottom of the waistband is a full two inches above my actual waist. There are good-looking dresses with high waistbands, but I doubt any of them are fitted in the skirt. The great '50s detail of having darts from the waistband to the fullest part of the butt instead have that extra fullness about two inches above that part of my butt. Because the waist starts two inches higher than it should, the hem is just above my knees instead of a couple inches below it. And this problem can't be fixed by ordering a size smaller. I haven't decided yet whether I'll keep this dress or send it back, but I'm not buying the other colors I'd considered until they come in sizes that fit women with average-to-long torsos.

I had a dress with this exact design purchased from Macy's about 10 years ago. I never wore it, so I donated it. I've regretted it ever since, as who doesn't need a little black dress in their closet! When I saw this on Amazon, I couldn't believe it, and purchased it immediately. When I got it and put it on, it was IDENTICAL!! The stretch, the fit, the design, EVERYTHING! It arrived quickly, and I was really happy with it! The only thing I might change is the length as it does go past my knee. I'm 5'0 and 135lbs. For my height, I'd probably hem it up a few inches to make it look like it's a better length. I love it though!

I have to start by saying the print of this dress is unique and beautiful. Fit is amazing, very flattering, fabric hugs you in the right places without being too tight or enhancing any bulges. This dress has the right amount of stretch, is comfortable, the slith on the back bottom and the neck cut are classy, giving a sexy touch without being too revealing, in the mid section is has a transversal cut that helps define waist. With regards of quality, I won't know until I use it and wash it, not sure how fabric will withhold wash. The dress is not fully lined, only in the top front, I put on a body shaper and fabric seem to stick to it having to keep pulling dress down, hopefully when I use it it won't be a prevalent issue.

The dress is beautiful and very flattering. I love, love, love it. I got it in the Red color and that was the issue. I usually look good in red, especially one that is bright like this. However, the cut of the dress made me look like an airline stewardess from Air China, according to my friend who works for that airline. We both had a really good laugh about it, but I returned it because of that. I will be getting it in a different color though, cause the dress is gorgeous.

I wore this dress for a sorority ceremony and it was a perfect fit and style for me. I have a large bust (38G), so I often shop to fit my bust first before my waist/hips. The large fit nicely, not too tight in the bust. I probably could’ve gotten an XL for wiggle room but then it would’ve been too large in my hips/waist. I would like to see the dress in a different fabric. The fabric used may be a cheaper material, and is more of an off-black in appearance vs a true rich color. Overall, it’s a nice dress.

Super beautiful dress. Fits everywhere except in the shoulders/underarms which is weird provided all the other places are perfect for my size (small). Also the fabric is weird, super light and thin, for that shape of dress, I wouldn't call it good quality, but with the picturesque print, it makes up. Wouldn't buy the monochromatic colors though, it would show a lot that shouldn't be shown. (And I was getting ready to purchase more of each color). However, it's a nice dress and with patterned colors (polka-dot, flowers, darks) it's perfect.

I bought this dress in black in the medium. I wanted this dress for my birthday in June so obviously it needed to be light weight and breathable. When it came it first looked a bit big but when I put it on it was perfect! Light weight and breathable, stretchable waist for easy on and off, doesn’t have a smell, I don’t like to show skin a lot so this was perfectly conservative but dressy. Elegantly shapes your body and it’s made beautifully. Highly recommend this as you’re “going to make your ex jealous”/“mafia queen”/“I’m a rich businesswoman” dress!! 😂😂💜💜💜 Absolutely love it!!!!

This dress is absolutely adorable. I give it only four stars because it takes a certain body type to be able to fit it particularly. When I was 5’8” 148 pounds it did not fit right. After losing a little bit of weight, and going down to around 135 it did fit well and was able to zip up. It is made for small chest. If you have a very large breast, you wouldn’t be able to zip it up.
