I've been make-shifting a bench in my workout area for just about a year now (since 4/1/20),..so I was excited to get a decent bench finally (3/6/21), and from all my similar product comparisons, I found this one to be the better of all of them for price, looks, and functionality,...(mainly I needed one that I could stow away, so storage/ fold-ability was an absolute must!!) When I received the bench, the ease of assembly was nice, and it is sturdy/ durable, however the manufacturing of this bench was less than desired. Before I selected this bench, I did notice others' reviews of the seat back and the seat not aligning properly, but I paid no serious attention to that - thinking that it didn't appear to be that bad. Maybe for some people that isn't a big deal, but for me (and I'm not OCD - too badly anyway), I did find this quite frustrating. I am a handy guy too, so I managed to disassemble the back cushion and the seat cushion so that they NOW could align more evenly. ---- I would also like to note that the foot pegs do not stay completely immoveable and firmly secure, so that is another downside,...but it works, and I didn't have one before so doing ab crunches in a decline, or being able to do decline chest press now is a bonus....and I did tighten the hand knob pretty tightly too, so that is another downside FYI. Overall, the inconvenience of having to fix/ attend to these issues when "attention to detail" on the MFG. side could have been sought after more with a few more minutes to fix these issues in the warehouse before shipping could essentially make for a better review......I do like having a bench now though, but unfortunately, I give this bench an overall rating of 3.5 stars. ... show more

Update: April 2021 - more than a year after buying this, I'm still working out at home. This bench has held up well. I remain very satisfied with all that it can do. Original Review: With the onset of the 2020 corona virus crisis, I found myself creating a makeshift home gym for the first time. I'm hoping to eventually go back to a commercial gym, and my space is limited, so I wanted something easy to store and not too expensive. So far this bench is working well. Pros: -Easy to setup, not much assembly required. -Versatile. Easily adjusts from decline to flat to incline to seated positions. -The right size - I'm 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, and this bench is the right length and width. -Feels solid. Cons: -Not sure about long term durability. It seems sturdy enough, but there there are welded spots and a central support pin that seem like they could be failure points - but no problem so far. -The foam pads on the foot bar just slide on, with nothing to hold them in place, so they also slide off easily. On the whole the Pros easily outweigh the Cons, and its getting the job done,, so I'm satisfied. ... show more

I ordered this a Christmas gift for my husband. We had an issue with the knobs to set the recline. Customer service was extremely prompt and helpful! Bench folds up easily, good bench for the price, and nice looking. If you're looking to store it folded upright you need a wall since it doesn't stand on its own. In coming to write this review, which I don't do often, I wish I had heeded the 'most recommended' review mentioning how crooked the back part is. On mine, one side is a half inch different than the other, not great for bench press activities where stability and being even is important. It also has a good deal of wobble, so I would strongly recommend against using it for any step-up type activities unless you're ok with the prospect of an ankle brace. There is no way to adjust it either, just poor craftsmanship and welding. UPDATE: The customer service team reached out to me asking questions and about wanting to make sure I ended up satisfied with the experience buying this bench. This type of thing is not common (even for my wife's fancy Peloton). The other positive reviews and the company reaching out to correct the situation is worthy of a 5-star rating at this price, and indicate that I probably just got one that wasn't put together well. Plus, despite my complaining I'm still using the bench for everything but step-up movements. ... show more

Clearly the company is making these as fast as possible to meet pandemic demand, and quality control has suffered-- the back does not line up with the seat (and it's not something that we did when assembling, or that can be adjusted-- the affected pieces are welded badly). It's not so far off that it can't be used, and anyway it doesn't get heavy use (nor heavy users) in our house-- although if it was smaller or bought locally, I would definitely have exchanged it. But another issue is that the pin that pulls out so you can adjust the seat (same with back) is not long enough to hold the seat in place, so make sure you tighten the knob well! I though it would be more like the versions in our gym, where the pin alone works, and did not tighten the knob enough, and it collapsed on me when I sat down on it. I wanted a decent bench that had an ab option but I didn't want to spend much. After looking at a lot of benches, I chose this one. From the time I cut the box open, I had it set up in about 8 min. Nice and easy. I've done d.b. flat presses, incline presses, incline flys, 1 arm rows, seated bent over rows, seated curls, seated and lying tricep ext's and couldn't be happier. No wobble, and I'm on carpet even. The ONLY thing I'm not nuts about are the pads for ab work. They slide a bit, so if you're into your workout, super-setting, it can hurt a tad til you push em back. I've trained my entire adult life and got into hard core lifting over 20 years ago. I've trained with some incredible trainers and been on many a bench in many different gyms in and out of the U.S. For the $ - this is a good bench. ... show more
