I am new to pickleball but I love this racket. A great grip light weight, and a great playing surface. It has a great service for putting spin on the ball. It came in two days instead of one , but it was still fast! It was well worth the money for me. It's my first paddle and probably my last one I'll need. The surface of the paddle was hard for my friend to play with, and he plays all the time, but seeing it's my first one, I like it! Hope this helps someone.

This paddle is very solid right from the start and is loaded with features that are standard on just about any intermediate level paddle out there. The paddle features a standard 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core, which seems to be the foundation of the best paddles that I have tested and played with. This is a closed throat style, edged paddle and it has very typical plastic edge banding around the outside. The fit and finish of the paddle is very good. There are zero manufacturing defects on the paddle and the artwork/printing is done well and definitely looks like a higher end paddle than some of the others found here on Amazon. I had only tested out one other Passion Pulse paddle before and was pleased with it, so I was excited to play with this one. I had a chance to play against my daughter this past weekend and opted to play with this paddle. Overall, it's a very nice paddle, but the "list" or full retail price is a bit steep in my opinion for the quality. It's a great paddle at the sale price (currently $95) but at the full retail of $159 I would probably opt to go with a bigger name paddle like a Joola or Selkirk. The first thing is that for a paddle in this price range, it's a bit heavier than I would expect. They list an 8oz average, and the paddle I received teeters on my scale between 8 and 8.1oz. Pretty close to as listed, but again, for a $160 paddle, it's a bit on the high side. I would expect something more in the 7.6-7.7oz range at this price point, but it's not a total detriment. The sweet spot on the paddle is really very good. It's maybe a touch bigger than average and allows you to get a decent hit on the ball. It's totally dinkable. The 3K carbon fiber face is super grippy and does a nice job letting you put considerable spin on the ball with ease. The grip has a nice feel to it and I didn't need any grip enhancer or anything special to be able to hold on to the paddle while playing. This is a nice paddle for an intermediate player who doesn't mind a paddle on the heavier side of the spectrum and who wants a super grippy carbon fiber face on an edged paddle. I don't know that I would pay the full retail price for it, but at the current $95 price, I would be all over this paddle.

This pickleball paddle grows on you. You break it in and the sweet spot becomes more evident for terrific shot making and spins. The power is better than average, great grip and love the design. This is a great intermediate paddle for most amateur players that want a little more zing and more control.

This was a wonderful upgrade for our family from the starter pickleball set. We aren’t pros and don’t compete but we play hard amongst ourselves. This paddle is holding up nicely and proving to be a great upgrade.

The Passion Pulse pickleball paddle comes nicely presented, which made a good first impression. It’s lightweight, looks sharp, has a short handle, and comes with a neoprene cover. The carbon fiber weave gives the face a modern, professional look, while the textured surface adds a bit of spin. The grip is comfortable and more maneuverable than those on longer-handled paddles. Overall, I like the clean branding and aesthetics, and it plays well, too. It even has a branded medallion on the end of the handle, which makes it easy to spot when pulling it out of a bag with other paddles. I didn’t realize how much I liked it until I loaned it out at a family get-together—and got it back all beat up. Someone used it to move branches while chasing a ball and scratched the surface. The top and sides also got scraped against the driveway. I have about half a dozen paddles, and this one has been my favorite so far. I didn’t realize how much I’d come to appreciate it until it came back scratched up—I wish I’d valued it more from the start. It still plays great, though, so I’ll probably just slap some edge tape on it. Be wiser than me.
