The Joola Pro IV is an insane paddle that I have been using for many sessions. I would argue that the paddle is best for power and spin, but once you reign in that power and spin, I believe you can attain incredible control. Let me share more: Control: When it comes to control, the Joola Perseus Gen 4 is a standout. From my very first session dinking with a 4.0 DUPR friend, I noticed how consistently I could place the ball exactly where I wanted. The paddle’s carbon fiber face delivered a precise, predictable feel. While some brands chase an edgeless design, Joola opted for a slimmer edge guard, and I actually prefer it. It didn’t interfere with my shots and instead gave me a comfortable frame of reference, reinforcing the paddle’s surgical accuracy on soft game shots. Power: When my friend, already known for his strong serve, tried it, his shots became outright explosive. I experienced the same boost, even with the 16mm version, which I initially thought might sacrifice power for control. It didn’t. The Gen 4’s construction generates impressive pop without requiring overexertion, making it a legitimate contender for my list of the best paddles for power after testing more than 60 models. The media could not be loaded. Great paddle, terrible warranty process. Handle bent after six months, submitted claim with pictures, mailed paddle back, and two months later — still no update or replacement. No paddle to play with and slow responses from support. Very frustrating for the price.

This is by far the best pickleball paddle I've owned. It provides power and the ability to spin the ball. Currently the price is on the high side, but i was able to by it during the holidays when it was on sale. I do recommend this paddle.

I have played nearly 200 hours with this paddle, yes, I am bitten by the bug. This is taking me from 3.5 to 4.0+ rating, used in tournaments and open play. The grip is good. I have had to replace it a number of times due to where the overrule the paddle is high-quality good performance, I like the mix of spin and control it gives me. I do play with power, this paddle helps me control that so I would assume with 200 hours plus this paddle could be costed as very durable ... show more

The paddle is excellent. Good power and control. The new style core takes some getting used to, but definitely worth it. HOWEVER, Joola advertises 1 year warranty, which requires you to register the paddle with Joola. simple, right? WRONG. Joola requires you to scan a strip attached to the handle in order to register on their app. Simple, right? WRONG. The scan strip (which they call “NFC”) Does not work. After trying the NFC many times, and talking to 2 others who purchased the same paddle, we all agreed that the NFC does not work. The alternative is to send a receipt to Joola and fill out the registration. Simple, right? WRONG. The gift receipt provided by Amazon is not good enough for Joola, you need to contact Amazon support to get an invoice. This is when I threw up my hands and said screw it. Bottom line, enjoy the paddle and forget about the extended warranty. ... show more

I urge you do not buy this product. It is fake. Compared to three other paddles from Joola clearly was not a true Joola paddle. Didn’t have a chip, the print was different. The grip was different and the holographic sticker on the side of the paddle was not holographic. Again, listen to me do not buy this! I’m waiting to see if I’ll get a refund now. ... show more
