I have been playing pickle ball for about 4 years and have used several rackets. This one is the lightest one I have used (if you have any elbow or arm pain this may be particularly helpful to you) and it came with 2 extra grips if you feel the handle is too thin. This racket plays well, and is particularly helpful in my soft game, giving me a lot of control, with a large sweet spot. It also has a rough surface that make spins easy. My husband has been using it too and will likely purchase his own soon. The packaging is attractive and it feels like it could be a much more expensive racket - I was considering a competitor with a foam core that was $270, so feel this racket is a great value. It is a solid racket for an intermediate. I have also used Selkirk and CRBN paddles and like them, but both of these are not performing as well as when I first got them. ... show more

When you're faced with dozens of paddle options, choosing the right one can be overwhelming. I started with a beginner paddle set (gifted to me), which worked fine at first. But once I started playing 3–4 times a week, I knew I needed something better. This paddle has been a fantastic upgrade. The combination of power and control makes it ideal for someone stepping into the intermediate zone. The face has an excellent textured surface—you can feel it even without hitting a ball—and it really helps with spin and shot placement. It’s light (about 8 oz.), feels great in the hand, and the grip size is just right. Price-wise, it’s in that sweet mid-range—not cheap, not outrageous—and totally worth it for what you get. I actually tried another paddle around the same price and ended up returning it. This one? Way more impressive. Great quality, great value. Why did you pick this product vs others?: As an avid pickleball player who’s been hitting the courts for a couple of years now, I recently got my hands on the YVmove T800 Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle with 16mm V-Sonic IV Dynamic Core, and I’ve got to say, it’s been a game-changer for my playstyle. Here’s my personal take on this USAPA-approved paddle after putting it through its paces. When I first picked up the T800, the textured T700 carbon fiber surface felt gritty and promising in my hand, and the ergonomic grip was a pleasant surprise. It’s got this anti-slip, cushioned feel that made long rallies comfortable, even during sweaty summer felt balanced, not too heavy to whip around for quick volleys but substantial enough to give my shots some authority. What I love most is the control. The 16mm V-Sonic IV Dynamic Core gives it a soft, plush touch that’s perfect for dinking at the kitchen line. I found myself placing drop shots exactly where I wanted, which is a big deal for me since I lean toward a finesse game. The carbon fiber surface is a spin machine, too. I was slicing backspins and ripping topspin drives with confidence, and my opponents were struggling to read the ball’s movement. Out of the box, there are paddle with a cover, an erazer and an overgrip. The paddle is well made, felt good in my hand. At the kitchen, I can immediately feel it kind of observes the pace and the ball seems stay on the paddle just a bit longer. This gives me a better control and more spins. The light weight helps me to engage in a quick battle at the kitchen. I'm a tennis player and it feels good and natural when I drive or serve.
