I have been playing pickle ball for about 4 years and have used several rackets. This one is the lightest one I have used (if you have any elbow or arm pain this may be particularly helpful to you) and it came with 2 extra grips if you feel the handle is too thin. This racket plays well, and is particularly helpful in my soft game, giving me a lot of control, with a large sweet spot. It also has a rough surface that make spins easy. My husband has been using it too and will likely purchase his own soon. The packaging is attractive and it feels like it could be a much more expensive racket - I was considering a competitor with a foam core that was $270, so feel this racket is a great value. It is a solid racket for an intermediate. I have also used Selkirk and CRBN paddles and like them, but both of these are not performing as well as when I first got them. ... show more

As someone who’s been playing pickleball for just a few months, I decided to upgrade from my starter paddle to the YVmove Storm 008, and I’m really impressed! This paddle has been a game-changer for me as a newer player looking to improve. First off, the paddle feels premium right out of the box. It came beautifully packaged with a neoprene cover, a cleaning eraser, and extra grip tape, which was a nice touch. It’s light enough for me to swing easily without causing arm fatigue during longer sessions. What I love most is the control this paddle offers. As a beginner still working on consistency, the large sweet spot is forgiving, and I’ve noticed fewer mishits, especially on dinks and volleys. The textured surface also helps with spin, which I’m just starting to experiment with my topspin serves are starting to feel more confident! It has decent power for drives, too, which is great when I want to be a bit more aggressive at the net. If you're a newbie looking for a solid first paddle or someone in that “I wanna get better” phase, this is the one you don't wanna miss. No joke—it's priced somewhere in the middle, but plays like something way more high-end. Whether you’ve played ping pong, tennis, or literally never touched a paddle sport in your life, this thing just feels right and helps your game instantly. I started with a cheaper paddle—used it maybe a dozen times—and thought, “Eh, it’s good enough.” Then I ran into this dude at the courts who clearly knew what he was doing. The paddle he had looked seriously legit, and when he told me it cost around 200 bucks, I swear I stood there low-key stunned for like five seconds... maybe ten. That was my “ohhh, okay” moment. After getting into some intense back-and-forth games with him (I won’t admit it was one-sided—at least I got one good shot straight to his face—small victories, right?), I had a couple things click real fast: 1）My game? Yeah... it’s kinda trash， and 2）If I had a paddle like his, I’d still suck—but at least I’d have the right tool to actually get better. So I started hunting.
