I bought this manual hand drill to enlarge holes in shell beads while re-threading a bracelet. It works well, though being manual, it takes more time and can get a little tedious. I also own an electric tool with tiny drill bits, but the vibration makes my fingers numb, so this manual drill is still very handy for finishing work. It's actually a nifty little tool! Comes with a good selection of bits and easy to handle! The bits don't have any trouble piercing baked polymer clay and leave a nice opening for earrings! Well, sometimes. I'll have the drill aimed to go straight down and as I'm twisting, I keep it steady. Somehow 85% of the time the bit goes crooked. This has led to me having to discard many pairs of earrings. It's wonderful for simple projects, but if you're planning on using it for polymer clay, you'll probably do better with an electric drill. ... show more
