This paddle sounds odd/different when hitting, but the feel is incredible. I prefer groundstrokes and this thing has plenty power. BUT! Now I also like volleys due to its sweet forgiving touch. It’s literally perfectly weighted for my game. I came from a Maverick Havik paddle (spelling?) that I also really enjoyed, but it’s over a year old and isn’t as powerful as it used to be. This is my first “name brand” that I’ve used and I think I picked a winner. This paddle plus a “Get a Grip” over grip added to it, has made me a much better player. This is my first foam paddle and it has changed my game. Not that I’m any better, but I just feel more in control and relaxed when I play. I was never a power player, preferring control, and I find I am able to put the ball where I want more often. Also, the elongated form affords me a bit more reach. I had been avoiding this purchase for a couple of months because of the price, but Prime Day had a great price and my accumulated points made it a fantastic deal. Everything about it was great - perfect weight for me, longer and comfortable grip, and surface was grittier than most, giving me more spin if I can learn how to use it right! I have been preferring an edgeless design, but I feel the edge on this doesn’t bother me, perhaps because I’m able to hit the sweet spot more than before. ... show more

This thing is a weapon! The foam design really exaggerates the dwell, which leads to awesome spin. Has enough power, but excels with placement. The 1 has an extended grip which helps for 2h backhands and extra length for reach. Very satisfied!
