  • OK when they work
one gave up charging after a rew month of working - sound quality is ok - customer service is not - product page on amazon states 18 month worry free returns - manufacturer will not respond to your e-mails (no repair or exchange available either). It took a couple of attempts to get amazon to step in, then they finally agreed to take them back. It's not worth the hassle. I wold not buy them again. ... show more

  • One quit charging after a few months
I wear top of the line RX behind the ear hearing aids, but bought these because they were rechargeable and I wanted to try the in the ear model vs the behind the ear model. Comfort is okay. You have to play with the volume control to alleviate the feedback. I was able to do that and hear okay. Problem is one quit charging after a few months. About the most inexpensive way to try out the different models, but I would not recommend these to anyone because they did not last. ... show more

  • Good bang for the buck
I've been wearing hearing aids for over 50 years. I was born half deaf in each ear. I started with over the ear, then once in the ear was available, I went to that. In the ear is far superior to over the ear. These are not as good as a custom fit hearing aid from a hearing aid center, but multiple times cheaper. They backfeed more, aren't quite as loud, and irritate the ears more. Battery life is acceptable. They make a great backups. If you are a first time user, definitely start with a pair like these and see how they do for you. ... show more

  • Good hearing aids includes tools, charger, and ear bud adapters
This is a fine set of hearing aids As you can see in the pictures it includes a cleaning tool that is good to use after a long days wear. They also include a screw driver which makes it easier to adjust the volume. There are several sets of ear bud adapters that help you to get a good tight fit so you can jog or exercise without them falling out. The pictures show that from the front you cannot see them in your ears, and from the side just barely visible. You can adjust the volume for just a little boost, or a loud volume. These hearing aids have good features and all the important accessories. ... show more

  • Terrible
NOT a good product. I'm writing this right after visiting a doctor who pulled out the cushioned ear piece from my inner ear. If they didn't take it out it wold have been lodged in my ear and caused all kinds of difficulties. Charged them both; didn't use for a couple of days and one didn't hold the charge and I was forced to try to listen to a movie fiddling around with it in the dark and only using one which virtually did nothing to increase my hearing. Also, when I tried to previously install them I get a loud shrieking. Can't use them in the car because they pick up my tires on the ground more than they do voices. Not sure where these were made. I would be very careful with them... BUT I don't recommend them at all. Someone ought to report this to the FDA. ... show more

  • Pretty good, but doesn't cancel background noise

  • Decent Small Hearing Amplifiers
I wear hearing aids and I had heard about these types of sound amplifiers for a while, so when I had the opportunity to try these I jumped at the chance. I thought they would be good in a pinch if one of my hearing aids malfunctioned. The first thing I want to point out, to set expectations appropriately, is that these are sound amplifiers, not hearing aids. Hearing aids have circuitry to vary the amplification according to the degree a patient can hear specific frequencies. This leads to fairly natural sound. In my case, my hearing aids amplify the speech range well so I can hear and understand voices pretty clearly. In addition, full hearing aids have sophisticated noise suppression and focusing capability that allows one to hear sounds, say, ahead of you while suppressing others. This capability works well in a busy restaurant or bar. In addition, some hearing aids act as Bluetooth headphones to pump sound from a phone or other source directly into the aid. These devices are not that. So what do these sound amplification devices do? Well, they seem to amplify all frequencies at the same time. So everything gets louder at the same time. For people with mild or moderate hearing loss across a range of frequencies, this may be adequate. There are multiple volume levels on these, controlled with a wheel control, and they get fairly loud. For example, without my hearing aids, I can't hear the tapping on keys on my keyboard. With these in, however, the tapping comes through loud and clear. Instrumental music sounds pretty good to me with these. They seem to transmit the sound as they come through speakers fairly accurately, so I can enjoy speech and music. I was able to get a good fit and feedback can be controlled by trying different sizes/types of domes that are provided. The seal in my ears is good and you get some noise suppression as well. There are a total of 3 domes for each earpiece in 3 different sizes so that most people can find a good fit. I find they fit in the ear well and have not fallen out in my tests. It takes some experimentation to find the one that works best for you. They're about as comfortable in the ear as good Bluetooth earphones. The size of these is very small and they fit in the ear much better and much more unobtrusively than other sets of hearing amplifiers I have tested. The rechargeability makes them very convenient to use. Operation is simple. Flip the on/off switch on the bottom. The volume control is quite small, unfortunately and can't really be changed while the amplifier is being worn. How comfortable they are to wear for long periods of time varies by the user, of course. A decent carrying case is included along with 9 domes, a wax guard set, a cleaning brush, and a little tool that can be used to adjust the volume. Decent instructions are included as well. So, are these for you? Well, if you have severe hearing loss and particularly if the amount of loss varies by frequency, perhaps not since all the frequencies are amplified with these. But if you find yourself turning up the TV and the too-loud sound is then ok for you (but not for your partner), these may help you a lot and be worth a try. Just be cognizant of what these are and don't expect them to perform like a full hearing aid does. The feedback issue seems to vary by user so you may or may not be able to find a fit that works for you. All in all, these small hearing amplifiers work pretty well and I believe this product has the potential to help a wide range of people with hearing issues at a quite reasonable cost. ... show more
