You can use it on the legs, bolt it to the wall or leave it on the floor. On the legs, it’s a good height for average sized chickens, which is how I will use it.

Well constructed, fairly easy to put together. Instructions were a little vague. We haven't used it yet for our soon to come chicks but I think it will be just fine!

Edit: Amazon sent a new one for free so we could use the parts from it to replace the bent metal pieces and the pieces where the drilled holes didn't match. Hours of assembly to go still. We will see how it goes. I would not purchase this nesting box. Chicken nesting boxes 1. We just spent four hours putting it together and the last two trays that the chicken sit on don’t fit in the box. 2. It’s less than a one star in my mind. The directions are terrible. 3. The trays that you get the eggs out of are cheap, aren't safe because chicken nails will get caught in the holes, even with hay there. They are bigger than advertized. 4. The lift up door to gather the eggs is so cheaply made that it is hard to lift and lower because the little prong hinge slips out if the hole in the side. 5. It is too expensive and made of cheap plastic material so it will not last long. The metal is sharp. No value for the money. 6. It takes at least two strong people to put it together because the trays are extremely hard to pull over the edge to get in place. The back edge metal is sharp which could harm the chickens, and was exhausting to build because of all the tiny screws. 7. Plus the delivery person put the nesting box package outside of my unlocked gate, right by the street where someone would think it was free, and nowhere near the mailbox, and 50 feet from my front door.

Overall great buy for the price. A little flimsy, but I installed against the fence and secured to fence. Chickens never hesitated to use.

Product seems to be fairly sturdy. The directions are virtually non existent. Basically put together by picture and guess at which direction the pieces go. Some of the pieces had numbers on them so you could match up the steps in which they were completed, but not all pieces had numbers. I had the correct number of pieces, just not the correct pieces. I have to alter one of the braces as I received three front braces, and only one back. It is sheet metal and I do have sheet metal shears on the farm. Easy fix.

A bit hard for one person to put together, but I did it ! I don't use bedding so that wasn't a problem. It took the girls a few days to start using them. But are using all three boxs now. And I love having Clean eggs again. It is a bit wobble but probably because I didn't get it as tight as it could be.

packaged well and very sturdy. looking forward to placing inside our chicken run / coop area for the new girls. Sept. 1, opened up and set it up. Looks great. Was a bit of a puzzle, but came together. rolls eggs nicely into a small drawer under the perch. I'll screw it into the wall of my coop, and hopefully the 5 moth old hens that are now laying will decide to use it. It's a beautiful addition to the chicken yard! Careful assembling, some very sharp edges on the metal horizontal braces. Fat one in the back, slim one in the front. Then slide the nest boxes into the slots after the legs are on.

They were great until my big hens got in them. Trays fell to ground. Works pretty well if you put cement blocks under them to support the weight. To be fair there were probably more than 1 hen in the box
