I thought this was going to be a piece of crap, but didn't care because I just needed more space for my chickens. This took 2 weeks to arrive, but it is so cute, and very easy to assemble. The facia of the chicken coop is completely assembled already, I just had to use a screwdriver and screw it to the bottom and sides. Fairly lightweight. It took me a few hours to assemble and I'm an old lady, my husband was working so he couldn't help much. Only a screwdriver is needed. Instructions are very easy to follow. It turned out to be very sturdy. The wood is treated for outdoor use so no painting is needed. The roof pieces feel very sturdy!     • Decent quality for the money.
It’s pretty standard as far as bought coops go. Wood is thin and ok to last several years, but not super heavy duty. Inside is probably only really large enough for 4 full sized chickens. Like most of these, the roosting bar is too low. And space is wasted with 4 nesting boxes. With a coop this size, ONE nesting box would be fine and sufficient. Assembly was easy and took little time. Hardware/latches are cheap junk. Side doors warp and become difficult to close or open. We ended up just setting it aside and purchased a different, better quality coop.

Made with extremely cheap materials and the bottom of the coop was split down the middle. I was not able to put the coop together myself due to back issues so I did not open it immediately or I would have returned the item due to damage.. Regardless, this coup needs to be reinforced and I don’t anticipate it lasting long. I purchased chicken coops from this manufacture approximately four years ago and the Wood has gotten approximately 50% thinner. Even the hardware is cheap and I have to purchase something more suitable to protect the chickens ... show more

This will be a two part review. This review is on the product as shipped and unboxed. I'll post a second review once I get it put together. This will take me some time, so I thought I'd better let people know what I've found so far just in case it helps with decision making when choosing a coop kit. The boxes arrived on the same day -good Both boxes had some damage - meh Several of the pieces had a weird, sparkly residue on them that had a string chemical smell. I had to rinse and dry them. - bad One of the pieces was broken (we fixed it) see photo - not great but we'll carry on. Big negative: The paperwork that came with it has pictures and a parts list - nothing about how to actually put it together. I'm going to reach out to see if it's possible to get the directions. Plus point: I love the cedar, and it looks like it will be really cute (remains to be seen). ... show more

We originally were going to just have 3 chickens and ended up with 5 so I sourced this as a larger coop for them. Size wise it’s nice , should be ok for 5 but that would be a max in my opinion. It was easy to put together. It is a little on the cheesy side as far as quality the biggest problem was gaps in between the boards but fixed with some caulking. Overall would recommend but you may have to upgrade it a little here and there. ... show more

This is a fantastic coop! We painted it to protect the wood with a red barn paint. It was so easy to put together. I did have to patch a couple spots because they were cracked but that was from shipping not the product itself. The wood was nice and the holes for the screws were pre drilled. We may upgrade the latches on the doors so we can keep our birds safe. I would definitely buy another one of these. We are ready for our chickens! ... show more
