- Comfortable Nesting: Give laying hens a soft, inviting place to settle and lay eggs with natural aspen excelsior fibers that cushion the nest; soft fibers support daily egg laying.
- Made for Chicken Coops: These nesting pads fit compatible laying-hen nesting boxes, creating a designated space for daily egg laying. Use them in backyard coops to refresh nesting areas as needed.
- Moisture-Managing Fibers: Sustainably harvested aspen draws moisture towards the kraft paper layer, helping keep nesting areas fresher and cleaner. The layered design supports a tidy place for eggs.
- Convenient Pack Supply: Includes 10 hand-packed nesting pads measuring 13 x 13 inches each, ready to place in compatible nesting boxes. Individual pads make replacing used bedding straightforward.
- Easier Egg Collection: Soft aspen padding helps minimize egg breakage during laying and gathering, while replaceable pads simplify coop upkeep. Collect eggs with less disruption to the nesting area.

As a conscientious poultry keeper, I recently had the pleasure of incorporating the Eaton Pet and Pasture Premium Laying Hen Nesting Pads into my coop, and I must say that they have set a new standard for comfort, sustainability, and practicality. These USA-grown, sustainably harvested nesting pads not only prioritize the well-being of my hens but also align with my commitment to environmentally responsible practices. 1. Sustainably Sourced Excellence: The fact that these nesting pads are sustainably harvested right here in the USA is a standout feature. Knowing that I'm supporting ethical and eco-friendly practices adds an extra layer of satisfaction to my purchase. 2. Premium Comfort for Hens: The Eaton Pet and Pasture Nesting Pads provide a level of comfort that my hens adore. They are soft, cushioned, and create a cozy nesting environment that promotes egg-laying productivity. My hens seem happier and more relaxed than ever. 3. Excellent Absorbency: These nesting pads are incredibly absorbent. They efficiently wick away moisture, ensuring that my hens' eggs remain clean and dry. This has significantly reduced the need for constant coop cleanups, making my life as a poultry keeper much more manageable. 4. Easy to Clean: When it is time for cleaning, the nesting pads are a breeze to maintain. They are designed for easy removal, cleaning, and reinsertion into the nesting boxes. This practicality saves me valuable time and effort. 5. Durable and Long-Lasting: The durability of these pads is impressive. They last for several weeks (as long as your hens don't decide to sleep there or brood and poop all day in the nesting boxes - which mine have done!). 6. Size Versatility: The Eaton Pet and Pasture nesting pads come in various sizes to fit different nesting box dimensions. This versatility ensures that they can accommodate a range of coop setups and preferences. 7. Environmentally Conscious Packaging: The commitment to sustainability extends to the packaging, which is minimalistic and environmentally friendly. It's a small detail that speaks to the brand's dedication to reducing its environmental footprint. In conclusion, the Eaton Pet and Pasture Premium Laying Hen Nesting Pads are a testament to what a quality product should be: comfortable for hens, eco-friendly, and practical for poultry keepers. These nesting pads have not only improved the quality of life for my hens but also aligned with my values as a responsible steward of the environment. If you're a poultry keeper seeking a sustainable and top-tier nesting solution, I wholeheartedly recommend the Eaton Pet and Pasture Premium Laying Hen Nesting Pads. They are a shining example of how small choices in poultry care can make a significant impact on both animal welfare and our planet's well-being.

Love these and so do my girls. They still try everything to get to flat ground but these are thick so the egg is still cushioned and doesn't break

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Quality and Performance The Eaton Pet and Pasture Premium Laying Hen Nesting Pads are a game changer for any backyard flock. From the moment I opened the package, I was impressed—no dust, no loose mess, just clean, well-made pads that are ready to go. The aspen material is top quality and provides the perfect texture for hens to scratch, shape, and settle into comfortably. It gives them the freedom to form their own nest without scattering bedding all over the coop. These pads fit perfectly in standard nesting boxes and are incredibly easy to remove and replace. Cleanup couldn’t be simpler—when it’s time, I just toss them into the compost or burn them. They leave no waste and require no scrubbing or sweeping. There’s zero concern about egg safety or mess with these pads. If you’re looking for a premium, hassle-free nesting solution, these are well worth the investment.

My chicks 🐣 like them but they do come apart easily, especially when cleaning them.

These are by far the best nesting pads I have found on here and in stores in my area. They are a little pricey but worth it because these are thick. My chickens love them!

Update to my original review: Eaton Pet and Pasture reached out to me directly after my review and corrected the issue. They did state they were made aware that there were some manufacturing issues and they’ve assured their customers that this has since been corrected. I do appreciate the excellent customer service they provided and standing behind their product. I will purchase this product again, but I will open them before my return window to check for quality. I have seen great reviews on this brand and I do use some other items from them so I was excited to try the nesting pads. I just opened the box today, which happens to be one day past my return window, and I was disappointed to see how paper thin they are… The first pad in the box was nice and thick and the rest were super super thin. And there were 15 in the box and I got a box of 10. I honestly feel like if a chicken laid an egg on one of these it would crack because there is not enough cushion. So I will be doubling up the pads since I can’t return them now.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Excellent Quality and Happy Hens! I’ve been using the Eaton Pet and Pasture Premium Laying Hen Nesting Pads for a few weeks now, and I’m seriously impressed. Right out of the pack, they have a clean, fresh straw scent — not dusty or musty like some other brands. I really appreciate that they’re USA-grown and sustainably harvested, which aligns with how I like to run my backyard flock. The 13 x 13 size fits perfectly in my standard nesting boxes, and they stay in place nicely without shifting around. The material is soft yet durable, giving my hens a comfy spot to lay their eggs. I’ve noticed fewer broken eggs and less mess overall. Cleanup is simple — the pads are easy to remove and shake out or replace as needed. My hens took to them immediately, and I swear they seem more consistent with their laying since I made the switch. Plus, I love that they come in a 10-pack, so I can rotate them out regularly without running out. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a natural, low-maintenance nesting solution that’s good for your flock and the environment.
