  • Great coop for smaller birds
Pattern Name: AIR61
When I got it it came in 2 well packaged boxes. While others say the wood can damaged, I had little to no problem with it. The instructions were clear and it was very easy to put together. I loved how this one had a room and many access doors. While the description says that it should be good for chickens, I think that it is good for smaller birds. My quail love all the areas in the coop. While the coop was good quality and came on time, the only problem I had was that something kind of had a chemically smell and the texture of the roof was kinda coming off. It looks exactly like the picture. While it had wheels, it was kind of hard to move it unless you pick it up higher. The functionality of it was great with all the doors, air vent, close able door, and the metal slide out tray. The door to the coop was kinda small and I don’t think it would be great for big chickens. I think that for the price it is a great coop for smaller birds. ... show more

  • Nice duck house, easy assembly
Pattern Name: AIR59
Easy to assemble. Some panels arrived damaged, but were still functional (aesthetic damage only). We will upgrade some small improvements for improved predator security such as the removable nesting box bottom, the barrel lock on the door & an additional latch opposite the current latch on the door since it does not close flush with the wall. I can appreciate the removable tray for ease of cleaning, but it only removes in one direction so that needs to be considered when adding the run. Appearance is nice. Not too heavy. Good size for my 6 ducks- 1 pekin, 1 Ancona, 2 SA & 2 WH. ... show more

  • Worked so well I have 2
Pattern Name: AIR49
Good coops. Easy to assemble. Not perfect but they work well. The bottom pull out for cleaning does not work well so I just shovel out from the big side door. Rain will leak into the bottom of the side door so I now have a piece of plywood leaning against the coops which works well. I also placed a piece of plywood over the top of the run so they have a covered area. I use furring strips to screw plastic to the sides of the run in winter (northern WI) which keeps them cozy. Buried hardware cloth around the sides to keep out predators. I made a larger run for daytime then lock the doors of the secure little run at night. Easily fits 10+ birds with a large feeder on the inside. I do not place a heater in the winter and they do just fine. 2+ years of use and it’s still holding up well. Not the greatest construction (thin walls) but works fine. It is nice to have 2 as I can separate birds if needed as I do when I introduce new baby chicks. ... show more

  • Not Bear Proof
Pattern Name: AIR61
What you’re looking at is the coop after it was flipped over by a bear and who ate 6 out of 7 of our five week old chicks. He crushed the sides, and ate each chick out of the closed coop part. With a bear fence, reinforcements, hardware cloth along the bottom and stakes, MAYBE this would work. And even then as a temporary housing. Maybe this would work in an urban area with fewer predators. I know better than to leave chickens in this full time, so this was our juvenile coop until the new chicks were old enough to go with the main flock. Alas they never made it. Listen, I get it, it’s tempting to get something so cheap. And this isn’t entirely the coop’s fault - I can tell it’s lightweight and I shouldn’t have left the chicks outside in it. But save your money and build something sturdy. Or save up and buy something higher quality. While assembly was easy, it’s bc this little tractor is so flimsy. Save yourself the heartache of lost birds and get something better quality. ... show more

  • Overall more happy than not
Pattern Name: AIR46
I would have given 5 stars had we received the products without damage, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Although we were still able to put it together, it’s a little frustrating to spend such a large amount of money plus the shipping only to have multiple cracked pieces of wood. I realize it is mainly superficial, but it still affects the overall quality. The instructions also weren’t exactly the easiest to follow and it took us 3 hours total to get everything unpacked and then put together. Now, the good parts.. This coop and run seem to be just perfect for our 12 chickens. Although half the flock will be dispatched for meat here in a couple months, there’s still plenty of room while having the full flock. The pictures probably won’t do justice on the size of it. I appreciate the reinforced brackets that came with the product. They seem to help keep everything sturdy and set in place. We also really like the easy access to the nesting boxes as well as the sliding tray for easy removal of chicken waste. Overall, we are satisfied with this product. I’m sure we’ll have to add updates or fixtures as time goes on, but that’s okay. We didn’t have time to build a coop and run from the ground up (which we’ve done before years ago), so this saved us! Lastly, I want to add that it arrived very quickly and all 4 boxes came at the same time. ... show more

  • Handy little coop
Pattern Name: AIR23
I got this for 4 chicks my hen hatched. The flock was pecking these babies so I got the little coop for them to be safe. The coop is inside my chicken run so the other chickens can get used to these babies being with them, but still keep the babies safe. It is actually too small for 4 chickens. The babies I put in it are now 11 weeks old and almost as big as the grown chickens. They are pretty cramped. I would recommend only have 2 chickens in this coop at the most. The tray has swelled from the humidity and is a bit hard to slide in and out for cleaning. It would have been nice if the lid on the nest box area had some kind of prop to hold it open for cleaning. Other than that it is a pretty nice coop, and for the price, I'd say worth the money. I would recommend it if you only have 2-3 chickens, but I'd put something substantial under it to protect from predators if it is all you'll have for your chickens. A preditor could dig under and get to the chickens. ... show more
