  • Well built, easy to assemble
Pattern Name: AIR45
Great product!! Easy to assemble, real shingle-like material on roof, roomy and includes multiple latches. There are 4 laying areas, roasting bars and a large fenced in area. Many entry points to retrieve eggs, lock the hen house, and let chickens out to free range. Very sturdy hen house, with flexible guards to keep rain out. Removable tray to easily clean the bottom of hen house. Fencing is good for protection but is a little less sturdy when moving - will take to people to move it around the yard, to keep the fencing squared but it is not heavy. I would definitely recommend this product! We also have the pin for 2 to 3 chickens from the same company. Also extremely well-built but with a smaller caged area. ... show more

  • Overall a great set up for a small flock
Pattern Name: AIR46
This coop is super easy to assemble and while two people would have been nice you can definitely do it alone. It took me 4 hours using just a regular philips head screw driver. The coop once together is pretty sturdy and seems that with care it will hold up well but the wood is soft. That said there were a lot of damaged and dinged up pieces in the box. I will have to fill in and paint it. The metal for the bottom interior tray is flimsy and does not sit properly in the wood so that will have to be taken care of. We will also have to seal some spots. For the cost of the coop versus lumber to build our own from scratch this is all worth it. The nesting boxes are fabulous and being able to just open the top and grab the eggs was perfect. The metal tray for clean out was great, we did add two metal handles though otherwise it would not be easy to pull out. I use contractor grade sand for their bedding and it was so easy to scoop and keep their coop super clean. This coop will definitely not house more than 6-8 chickens comfortably. The run is very small and I knew that and planned to add a fenced in area for my girls to run. If you don’t plan to free range or have an extra pen then consider keeping your flock on the smaller side. I will be buying a second coop as I could not fit all 10 of my girls in this from their current set up without being squished in. Overall I think if you know ahead of time that this is a softer wood that will have imperfections, is on the smaller side overall and you have a small flock of 6 than this will be a great coop for your backyard. ... show more

  • Its what you pay for
Pattern Name: AIR46
Pretty easy to assemble however some of the steps I may have put in a different order. The wood is pretty cheap and flimsy. It is still being used by the chickens but is slated for replacement. The hinged roofs have both split and one side has completely split along the hinge edge and just sits on the top. the ramp has never really worked well and has cracked and split in several places. It was a good stop gap but probably not worth the cost unless you have a way of covering and protecting the coop itself with a 3 wall shed or something similar but at that point just put a door/gate up and use nesting boxes in the shed ... show more

  • Waste of Money
Pattern Name: AIR46
We purchased this coop June of 2022. It's now August of 2023. We don't live in a super rainy area and the coop is in the sun. It was challenging to assemble and the wood is very thin. I have to say I'm very disappointed with the way the coop has weathered. So far the metal pan in the floor of the coop swelled and became lodged, then the metal itself simply collapsed in the base. The wood is starting to separate and rot away. It is not durable and certainly not weather proof. We will be finding an alternative very shortly as our hens will be homeless if the decays keeps accelerating. All in all a waste of money, time and investment. As for how many this houses....8-10 full size hens will not be well housed in this space. Simply too small. Its a cute hen house but very low quality. ... show more

  • Best DIY Kit
Pattern Name: AIR59
Put together a lot of kits. This is the best. Parts are identified beautifully. Every group of screws is in its own marked package. It was so easy. They use dowels to help parts line up, which makes it even easier. Need two people to put it together easily. The individual parts are not heavy. My 6 year-old grandchild and I built it together in about two hours,.with a lot of goofing around during that time. ... show more

  • Cracked, doesn't hold up - door cracked and broken within 3 months of use
Pattern Name: AIR45
The main door arrived cracked and when I reported, the company wanted to offer me $50 to use the cracked door. After I said no, I was mailed a new front door. The drilling holes were not even and we had to do some finagling with the run to make it even. It is not a sturdy product - I worry a racoon or fox will be able to lift or open the doors. We reinforced a perimeter on our own. The door of the coop to go into the run cracked by the chickens within a month of using, 3 months later the lock has broken off and the whole frame of the door has cracked in multiple places. I have five young hens and this is not big enough for them (even with some free ranging through out the day). Save your money and build your own or buy one of the sturdier types for a few hundred dollars more. We are already building a different coop and may keep this in the run just as an extra shade or what, but I doubt it will last the winter. ... show more

  • Great Buy!
Pattern Name: AIR46
We have had the coop for over a month now. It comfortably fits our 5 chickens with room for more. Easy to clean being that there are numerous access points! Purchased a solar light from Tractor Supply, it adds the perfect touch (pictured). I assembled the coop myself, took about 2.5-3hrs. Overall, super happy with the purchase and have had several family/friends purchase this and are super happy! Great buy ... show more

  • Nice chicken coop!
Pattern Name: AIR45
Overall, great chicken coop!! Be careful when fastening the screws, the wood can split easily if your not careful. It might also need another application of a better weather treatment on the wood, but otherwise I am happy with it!
