  • Awesome incubator keeps humidity and temp very stable, my hatch rate was about 90%
Color: Sunlit Orange
I love this incubator, between it and my 2 Kebonnixs incubators, this one was the best with some minor adjustments. The egg turner is a little loose so i cut and used counter cloth to secure the eggs firm into the turner, other wise they would rock back and forth taping the eggs, and the temp can be adjusted to i was able to use my own thermometer to monitor it and it held the temp solid with out fluctuating. With my others i have had 2 years of chicks hatching before fully developing with unabsorbed yolk or heavy umbilical cords that caused some issues and some dyeing from humidity fluctuations. I did not have that issue with the chick cozy, I hatched 4 hatches this year all were shipped eggs 1 being ducks. All the babies were healthy fully developed and seemed very convertible inside while waiting for the rest. I didn't have to assist any other then ducks due to very saddled air cell leading to shrink wrap since they have to be cooled each day, but the ducks were healthy and had no development issues. I also love i can completely take it apart for washing. very solid incubator, very easy to use. I will defiantly be buying another one next year to replace the other 2. Would also add the water under eggs also prevented chicks that piped from bottom from suffocating due to the open air mat and held humidity very good when adding slightly warm water to it i didn't have to fill it everyday like my other ones. ... show more

  • New to hatching eggs? This is the way to go!
Color: Sunlit Orange
As complete beginners to hatching eggs, we weren't sure what to expect, but this incubator exceeded our expectations! On our very first attempt, we hatched 21 out of 25 eggs, which we were thrilled with. Setup was straightforward, the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and everything worked exactly as described. We also loved being able to watch the process through the clear viewing window—it made the experience even more exciting. The only downside was cleanup. It wasn't difficult, but it did require a bit of scrubbing afterward, and you have to be careful not to get the power cord wet while cleaning. MAKE SURE to clean as soon as you take your chicks out we waited a few days and we had to scrub and soak the parts longer. One feature we'd love to see improved is the included chick calendar. It would be even more useful if it were laminated so you could use a dry-erase marker and reuse it for every hatch. Overall, this incubator gave us an amazing first hatching experience, and we'd absolutely buy it again. It is one of the bigger in SIZE incubators so you get to hatch more eggs at once. In fact, we already purchased a second one as a gift for my grandpa, who also hatches his own chickens. We highly recommend it, especially for anyone just getting started! You definitely get your moneys worth the product is not cheaply made at all. ... show more

  • Top Choice Incubator - Chickcozy 25
Color: Sunlit Orange
One of the best incubators out there, if not the best. Even though they are very close in performance etc. For me personally, at the moment I would rate this slightly better than the MaticoopX 30. The Chickcozy is a little more compact and fits almost anywhere and is easier to clean. The handle to remove the lid is convenient. The removable tray to add water for humidity is also convenient. Especially for accidents when added too much water. It's easy to remove and dump excess water. If you accidently added too much water in the MaticoopX, it can get complicated, especially if you're new to incubating. The stand/mount to add the govee Hygrometer is a great addition, it's always great to have a second measuring instrument. I was using my chickcozy to hatch coturnix quail eggs. I got hatch rates between 70%-100%. I purchased 3rd party quail egg trays from QuailPrints .Co I had good discount codes. Great, guy! You can also find him on etsy. The trays work great and fit perfect. With the trays, you can hold way more eggs than the MaticoopX even if you had quail trays for the MaticoopX. I'm NOT affiliated with either company, and I'm not paid for this review. But I do hope all parties see this review. I'm leaving this review because i believe the chickcozy team has great customer service and thought I would leave an honest review because they deserve it. In no way is it my intention to put any negative remarks on the MaticoopX 30, as I believe they are more popular and are a very reputable company and are definitely a top choice as well. They both have areas where they perform better than the other. They were my #1 until chickcozy. Now I think they're both are my number #1's. Tough choice to make. Improvements I would expect to see in the future for the Chickcozy: Brighter LCD screen, possibly with colors. Louder beeps for some of the features when pressing buttons. Brackets that holds the lid to the base so you can pick up the entire unit with the handle (Which is what I initially thought it was) Better trays overall. The original chicken egg trays it comes with it is limited by many ways. It should be more versatile. The mount for the govee Hygrometer should have side rails to prevent the Hygrometer from sliding left/right. Further: Automatic humidity control. Would be top of the line! Chickcozy, Keep up the great work! I hope you guys decide to sell more products. Thank you. ... show more

  • Best Incubator! You won’t regret it
Color: Sunlit Orange
Best incubator! I just hatched chicks and started with 17 eggs. There were 2 eggs that were not fertilized so those were removed day 7. All 15 eggs hatched and all chicks are doing great! 100% hatch rate is amazing! The incubator is super easy to use and very easy to watch the hatching process. I like that there is a higher edge around the bottom tray to keep the chicks in when you lift the lid. I also appreciate the handle on the lid which makes taking it on and off easy and fast. The egg candle light works great and I appreciate that you can control the hatch days, how often eggs rotate and humidity levels. On lock down (day 18) the automatic egg turner stops and it’s very easy to remove the egg trays. This is a really great incubator so far! ... show more

  • Good for the price
Color: Sunlit Orange
Pretty good incubator. Have to use a few more times to see hatch rate. Love how many it fits and the turner. Keeps humidity well. And less water fills than my other

  • Best incubator!!
Color: Sunlit Orange
My first time incubating eggs was an amazing experience! I truly loved it ❤️ It was easier than I expected, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. I set 14 eggs, and all of them hatched successfully 🐣✨ Watching the little cracks appear and hearing the first pips inside the eggs was absolutely fascinating. One important thing I learned is that you mustn’t open the incubator during the hatching process unless you are sure no more eggs will hatch, as it can affect humidity. The hatching process itself took about one and a half days to complete, and during that time I didn’t open the incubator or take any chicks out—I left them all inside while waiting for the last eggs to hatch. ... show more

  • FAILED 2x, poor humidity control UPDATE
Color: Sunlit Orange
UPDATE: chickcozy contacted me and sent me a new incubator for free hoping this was a glitch. I have ran 2 more batches since then and I can say that I have not had AS many issues with this incubator. I do live in a very dry state with very little humidity so I’ve found that I have to check the water level daily. On lockdown, I did lose one chick that got shrink wrapped because the humidity dropped down to 43 overnight. The biggest flaw of this incubator is the reservoirs inside that you fill during lockdown. They dry up in a day or two and you have to open the incubator to fill them. I would suggest if you live in a low humidity state like I do, try the shoelace technique or add a wet sponge in. I prefer my maticoopx incubator because of the ability to have a constant feed of water. The chickcozy probably works perfectly in higher humidity states. Chickcozy’s support though is top notch for sure! It looks super nice, until it failed 2x dropping the temp to below 70… it just “errored” out. I reset it and it did it again. This was early on so I was hoping it didn’t affect the eggs. I put them in lockdown and I fill the internal reservoirs and the reservoir underneath…. But it could not hold humidity. I came home to 62% humidity and a chick that started zipping but died due to dried membrane. I stayed up all night manually increasing the humidity by adding warm water every hour to maintain 67!!!! Once my others started pipping and zipping, I had to assist 3/6 due to dry membrane which they could get through. I never have these issues with my maticoopx.. I wanted to try this incubator but I lost at least 4 BCM’s so far with 3 waiting to PIP. I can’t trust this incubator to maintain safe humidity, and it failing 2x (no power outages, just errored out and flashed). ... show more

  • 1 year after purchase. 3 in the home
Color: Sunlit Orange
I'm actually reviewing my 3rd chickcozy incubator. Finally decided to write a review. I purchased my first one last year. I currently have a total of 7 incubators in my home. Between my matticoopx and chickcozy they both do a great job on marans eggs yep those gorgeous 7s and 8s. Shipped eggs and anything else you can put in them. I have a love hate relationship with both manufacturers egg turner trays as chick cozy could have deeper trays ( they don't hold the eggs firmly in place and do allow some movement. But you can only fill a few slots and the eggs will stay upright.) the matticoopx you have to fill the tray completely or the eggs will fall down. Pointy eggs don't do so well in the chick cozy. (Turkey eggs are more pointy than most other eggs) You absolutely can not fit goose eggs in this with out different trays (available on Etsy) I'm not sure if chickcozy sells any. Now that being said I have run multiple hatches in these. The newer ones have a different power cord, I think I figured out why. My year old one started not keeping up on the temp. Now I reached out to chickcozy and the warranty is super easy to deal with. So I will give a 5 star on customer service. I'm hopeful that my other ones won't have this problem. I will say to anyone who has difficulty with temperature I have found a room temp of 74 degrees is best, at least of me and all of my incubators. Table top incubator are designed to be run at 70 degrees. So if you keep your house cold I would suggest keeping them either in a cabinet or somewhere you can throw a blanket over the setup. This is kinda industry standard. I'm not sure if brinsea does better. But all of incubators I have purchased.. and I have owned a total of 7 different brands I won't name. But vary from a 30$ temu incubator to 200$ table top. These are hands down the best for keeping accurate temps and humidity. They have 4 areas to put water. I have around 30% humidity in my home and do dry hatches most of the time. So hatching duck eggs is the only experience I have keeping humidity. But they will keep 50% for 4 days before I need to refil reservoirs. I can fit 4 mscovey duck eggs in each rack. And it's a pretty tight squeeze. But those are large for duck eggs. I also have run silkie eggs in this. I would prefer a different rack, but I don't want to purchase those. It works. Between the two matticoopx and chickcozy. Chickcozy is easier to clean. Both provide ample room for the chicks to move around during hatch. Chick cozy is probably the only incubator that has a place for a 2nd thermometer/hydrometer. I always suggest putting an extra one in. My temps have been pretty spot on. But I like to track them. I will say chickcozy prior to my new issue (that was resolved very easily) chickcozy was the best for constant temperature. Overall it is easy to set, easy to use and easy to clean. Definitely a good value. You can adjust temp and days for hatching. Watch the sales and you can get the incubator for around 110$ but when I am putting 200$ dozens in this incubator and trusting it to give results. I think that says a lot. I had 90% hatch rates on shipped eggs. When an industry (chicken breeding) average is 50% hatch rate. I would say I would buy them again. But if I need to incubate more than 190 eggs in 3 weeks I just need to buy a cabinet incubator... 😆. So most likely I won't purchase another. But for me the biggest thing I can say is I probably will not be selling my 3 chickcozys they would be great for hatching as they are super easy to clean. ... show more
