Overall, I am SUPER PLEASED with the build quality, crate packaging and CEVA delivery service of this coop! Yes, it can be a bit pricey for some, but the quality rivals a stick built structure and the convenience of a time saving, simple assembly makes the price absolutely worth it for me. I wanted to go from zero to quality coop in just a few hours.. Done :) With that being said, here is my advice. *** A LEVEL ASSEMBLY SURFACE IS A MUST *** What really should have taken us 30 min or so to assemble took us 2 hours since our yard was not level. We still were able to assemble the coop fairly easily, but if our yard were level it would have been a breeze. If you aren’t fully level, a rubber mallet will be your best friend. Do use an impact driver since you will need the torque to sink the screws, but be careful not to strip them or the provided bit since they are all square drives. I do wish they would’ve used star drives instead. Also using 2 people is doable but 3 people is ideal due to the weight of some of the sections. Lastly, and unfortunately the inside is not painted. I wish it were so I did not have to do it. I loathe painting. ... show more

I've been wanting this coop for about a year now and my husband surprised me with it for Christmas! Shipping to our location took about 3 weeks but it arrived in great condition. There were a few small flaws in the pre assembled pieces but I think that's expected in a hand built coop. Overall it is amazing and none of the flaws affect the performance of the chicken coop. The sturdiness is top notch, my husband and I were both inside of the coop during installation and it didn't budge a bit. The Size of this coop is perfect for us as it houses up to 15 chickens, we almost got the smaller size but im glad we went for this larger one as we now plan on a few more chicks I'm spring. OverEZ really knows Chicken health and care and making things easy going on chicken owners. Value for money on their products is no question at all. We all know you get what you pay for and with all Over EZ Products you are absolutely getting that high quality product for a fair asking price. *Edit* This is a sturdy coop but do not be fooled by their "up to 15 chickens" claim for the large. I have 10 and it is crowded since their design puts the roosting bars too close together and does not leave many options for modifications. I'd say 8 would be an ideal number for this Large coop. Love this coop! I had planned on building my own but time is always an issue for me and I knew I already had to build a run. It went together easily but you will need an extra set of hands to hold walls in place as you screw together and assemble. I did make some modifications that you can see in the photos: 1) added 2 ft legs as the legs that come on it are only 8 inches and I wanted the birds to be able to get under the coop and myself as well for cleaning purposes. 2) added linoleum flooring to make cleaning easier. 3) added hardware cloth over the bottom (they offer panels but they are way overpriced in my opinion and fit the 8 inch legs). I will say, there were some manufacturing issues including nails missing the studs, ceiling and wall panels not lining up appropriately, and some small gaps (examples shown in photos) but they were relatively easy fixes and customer service was great offering some options to make it right. Overall it's a great coop, seems solid, and the girls love it. ... show more

This coop is made out of high quality materials and very well designed. We were going back and forth with building our own or buying a prefabricated coop. This one had all the elements we wanted plus made with high quality components. Less expensive coops are made with junk materials and you get what you pay for. Since it’s made with better materials, the pieces are a lot heavier than you think. The video with the family putting it together makes it look like it’s lighter than it really is. Not a complaint as I wanted the sturdier construction but just be prepared. I really liked it came with touch up paint since it’s shipped on a truck. ... show more

Very study coop. It was super simple to put together and feels like it will last forever. The panels are very heavy (not a one person assembly due to the weight) but that leads to the sturdiness of the product

Putting this together was a total pain. We got it snugged together per the instructions, but it took sledging it into place behind the trim pieces. But the bigger problem is that it wasn't manufactured correctly, so that there is a 1/2 inch gap on the bottom of the side of the nesting boxes between side C and side D. As a result there is no good way without modifying it to get the two pieces properly together. We had to include an additional piece of 1/2 inch wood to fill the gap. Very disappointing considering the cost and the work to put it together. I did give it 3 stars instead of 1 because overall the materials are good and I'm sure that if it had been manufactured as designed it would have been a perfect little chicken house. ... show more

Really easy to put together. Took me about 1.5-2hrs to put together by myself. Some pieces are quite heavy by yourself (I'm a 200lbs man). I had to trim down one piece with a jigsaw to make it fit as it wasn't aligned perfectly. Other than that. It looks great.

There was absolutely nothing that I liked about this coop other than the fact that what it looked like it did not lineup. It didn’t go together correctly. It was pretty much a waste of build.
