Our 10 year old GE Level 2 charger stopped working and we called in an electrician to see what went wrong. Turned out, when we moved the GE to our new house in PA from NC, either it was installed improperly or somehow went bad and the electrician told us 'you're lucky it didn't burn your house down' because the female, in the wall receptacle was virtually carbonized. Before the electrician came, I ordered this new Tessan charger and it is GREAT. Had a few teething problems however, it has a phone app that tells all sorts of stuff, able to program charging times, get feedback, etc. I recommend this charger by Tessan without reservation. We now charge our 2024 Equinox EV at 10 or 20% to 80%. I highly recommend anyone needing one, to look into this one plus the price is very reasonable and you may ever get a Federal tax credit (not a deduction) a credit, depending on where you live, for the purchase price and installation.

The product does NOT work without the app, and the app blocks the unit from charging, since the company does NOT work weekends and the system went out on Friday it is already 5 days going into 6 and they have not been able to solve the problem and I have not been able to charge my car at home , no solution has been found and I’m left without a charger, and I only had this for about a month only. NO URGENCY IN FIXING THE PROBLEM is this how the service will be in the future?

The charger delivers what it promises. It cut my charge time of 13.5 hours at 120v to 2.25 hours at 240v. The app works. The RFID cards work. The cables are sturdy and strong. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase, which I got on Prime Day. Here's what I wish I'd known while setting it up. Some of this info is in the listing above and in the manual. - Once it's installed, plug in your car and swipe an RFID card on the unit. It will start charging. - If the app won't let you register and gives a network error, it's their server acting up. Wait a day or two. - When connecting your unit to the app, use the top QR code on the silver label, not the one on the white label. - "Plug and charge" (meaning you plug it in and it starts charging without any other interaction) requires you to connect it to the app using Bluetooth, then enable the feature. This feature is only available with the app and is not accessible when connecting via Wi-Fi. - If you connect it via Wi-Fi, you have to tell the charger to start charging via the app or with an RFID card. - Use Amazon messaging for support. I contacted the company (via Amazon) when I had an issue, and they responded promptly. I emailed the address listed in the app store for the eTrip+ app and didn't get a response. For a charger that costs about $179 on sale, this is a great deal. I don't care about fancy features (though the app has them) or name brands. I want to juice up my car (Jeep Grand Cherokee x4e), which this charger does quickly.

2 stars cause it charges my 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, but is not able to connect to the app via wifi. I can get the app connected to Bluetooth, but that isn't helpful as you have to be pretty much sitting next to the unit to get any information from it via Bluetooth. I have tried both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi bands and both successfully establish the link, but once you click to see details, it constantly pops you "device offline, please try again later" Still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer, I do have an open claim on Amazon rn regarding this issue.
