I put up a 25'x12' shade sail with different hardware originally. Mistake. This set includes the mandatory cable ratchets (if you want your sail to be tight anyways). The ratchets work great! The cables are of decent quality as well. So are the eye pads and carabiners. As for the cable clamps, well I snapped off the bolts on 2 out of the 4 clamps included. When I was trying to loosen the nuts from the imbedded bolts the nuts wouldn't turn off. They were not cross threaded when I put them on and they went on smoothly and tight. Taking them off though was a struggle. I ended up snapping a bolt on 2 different clamps. I ended up going to the hardware store and bought c-clamps for cables. I got this set for the ratchets alone anyway, and they work great.

I had some issues with winch but I hadn't used one before. Once I figured it out it went up very quickly. I used longer screws than what comes with it. Installed by myself (52 female).

These are well made and come with decent mounting screws. Turnbuckles work smoothly. My second set, first ones have held up nicely with minimal rusting.

Within the advertising info that describes the item fot sale the "material" says stainless steel. Elsewhere there is a mention of "grey steel color." Technically the correct material should list as follows: "stainless steel, gray powder coated steel (band), and zinc finished bolt & nut". Now, my thoughts. The one part I am dissatisfied with is the zinc plated bolt & nut. The "D" rings ARE stainless steel, great for use outdoors. The steel band appears to be powder coated gray, this is okay and should servive well in the outdoor weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, etc.) and matches my pole material finish. The zinc plated bolt & nut is the first piece that will rust in the future. My steel pole is powder coated (in my case a grey color.) So my post will have rust running down the powder coated pole from that zinc plated bolt & nut. I'll be replacing my bolt with a stainless steel bolt & nut before I put it up on my pole. If the material were correctly listed as I discussed earlier I would have ordered from a different vendor that gave a more accurate description! Thank you for reading.
