its tfal. its a MONSTER of a pan! i was shocked by its size. and depth... the sides are built up really high. looks wise, its giving me slight 'being a kid back in the 70s' vibes with a dash of the '20s. Its not bad, although green would NOT have been my 1st choice. although its not horrendous. & the performance more than makes up for it! used it last night to caramelize peppers & onions. very little splatter on the cooktop. held onto heat very well. used tonight to make a 1/2 lb burger. same. even less splatter (for an 80/20 burger). impressed. & although i did use us my coveted bacon grease to saute the peps & onions for flavor, i didnt use any fat with my burger. i gave it a hard crust on both sides and i could swirl them around the whole time if id wanted. they didnt stick a lick! very impressive. i did season it per the instructions. used avo oil. heated the pan up til just before the oil started to smoke. pulled it off the stove & spread/wiped it all down with paper towels. that's when i noticed issue 1... there is a lemon sized scorch mark on the bottom of the pan. its a pan. it should be able to handle anything a home flattop glass stove can dish out. tried scrubbing it off with a scrub daddy. nope. afraid to use the stainless scrubber cuz i dont want to scratch the bottom. same with barkeepers... dont know how the acid will react with the coating. BIG bummer. i will get over it. & avoid putting the stove up to 10! still.. tfal? smh. kinda disappointed in ya on that one. issue #2 (which i knew going in) was no lid. wasnt a big issue, espesh after using it. but i DID want a lid. thought i could use my biggest pasta pot lid... no good.. 1/2 inch too small. sigh. BUT, what pops up on amazon? a standalone glass/silicone lid that fits from 11-12 1/2" pots/pans. its PERFECT. fits tight to the edge of the pan & ocks on very well, even with the pans highly curled lip edge. (search "TFCX001" which is the model # & it will come up). NOW my pan is complete (and i have a cool big lid for other uses). neither issue would stop me from getting another one of these pans (considering adding to my cart again!). its that well made. it performs that well. & also importantly its sustainably built & PFOS/PFAS free. no teflon. but treat it well! no harsh scrubbers. no dishwasher. you wont need em. a soft sponge (in my case a scrub daddy) cleans anything that wont rinse off with a single wipe. it def lives up to the tfal name. at $30 its a deal. on sale & its a steal! you will love this big daddy of a pan! (lets hope the coating lasts... we'll see!) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Love the look and feel of these pans. We have a twenty year old set of Tfal pans, and trust the quality quality and durability. Optimistic these will hold up and know Tfal will take care of it if they don’t. The heat sensor in the middle is an interesting feature. They nest well for storage. Will update as we use them more and can speak more to cooking a variety of foods, but as you can see in video, works well for a basic egg (difficulty was the trick of filming with one hand while flipping the egg). ... show more

    • Great upgrade compared to older T-fal

I got this to replace a 10+ year old T-fal pan of the same size. The old pan has been a faithful workhorse but this new one is better in every way. My old 12-inch T-fal was the same basic design except for two things: it was not ceramic, and the sides were much more shallow. Ceramic cookware is super easy to use and clean and withstands heat no problem. While it will scratch, it stands up to metal utensils far better than the usual non-stick coating. I love the higher edges provided by this pan as well. These two improvements are huge for me and well worth the increased price point between the two. The big problem I had with the old pan was the handle loosening over time and constantly needing to be tightened. I fear this new pan will eventually have the same issue. In the pictures, the handle appears to be riveted but it isn't...There is a handle "base" that is attached to the pan and the handle screws into this piece with a single screw. I can't believe they are still using this same exact design. They need to make the handle a single piece and rivet it to the pan. Nonetheless, this isn't a big enough issue for me to deduct any stars. I have already used this pan to make a number of meals and it has been great. Nice natural non-stick, heats evenly, cleans easily, and I love the color as well. Also has a great premium weighty feel to it. This is a great go to pan for everyday use that I expect to last a long time. ... show more

This review is for T-fal Simply Cook Recycled Fry Pan Set, 2 Piece, Green When these pans arrived, I was very worried about what I'd find when I opened the box. The pans had somehow become dislodge from their inner banding in transit. The were clattering against each other. Incredibly, there was not a single scratch on these beautiful, durable pans! I was so relieved and happy because these are absolutely beautiful pans. I love the green color. They are much prettier in person than in the pictures. The pans come with a heat indicator that tells you when the pan is properly heated for use. The darker hash markings on the red circle fade to the color of the red circle to tell you that the pan is ready. The non-stick surface worked perfectly on eggs, burgers and pancakes. The pan states that it is dishwasher safe, but it was so easy to clean that I just hand wash them. They recommend that you use wood or plastic utensils to best preserve the non-stick surface. They are oven safe to 350 degrees. They recommend that you season the pans on first use and that you repeat this seasoning after 10 dishwasher cycles. The pans arrive with a cardboard band with care instructions. I cut the circular part of the band where the care details are printed and I'm using that piece of cardboard between the pans for storage to prevent scratching or additional wear.
