I like the storage box. It seems to be good quality, and not as the other reviewers have described. It is exactly what I needed for my home. Love this. Can't go wrong with cast iron. The wooden crate it arrives in is solid and well made. It's definitely worthy of being a starter kit for camping....as you progress and build your camping experiences, you may want to add more to your cast iron accessories...the wooden crate has room for extras. ... show more

The pans are great, the box is charming, but not worthy of the weight/load it carries. The latch is non functioning I didn’t buy it for the wood crate although It drew me to the product. Will have to replace the latch, though really not necessary I don’t think. There was a screw that appears was placed on the top of the lid into the frame of the box, this splintered the wood and did not serve the goal of securing the lid during shipment. The first set was destroyed in shipping and Amazon had no qualms about sending out a replacement, friendly customer service, however, a huge language barrier. Would recommend the pans. Also noted, the pans have a rough cooking surface, not smooth as I have used in the past. ... show more

This is a wonder beginner set of cast iron cookware. My husband does a lot of re enactment camping. This was especially nice because it came in a wooden box that holds all of it! Unfortunately, someone along the way must have dropped the package. When we opened it one of the wood box corners wash mashed up. ... show more

The box was broke in shipping which I didn't really care about I did have to sand the cooking surface smooth they are rough but I love cooking with cast iron food is 100 times better once you learn how to cook with it

Received shipment in an outer box that was not damaged (for once!) As soon as the box was opened, the crate lid was loose in the box. Both hinges on the back of the lid broke through the VERY cheap wood as did the one, off-centered single screw meant to hold the lid closed. All three 'supports' were broken. Four screws were eventually found in the bottom of the crate. So, the storage crate will be used for our next fire. (Ashame this company doesn't upgrade the wood. It would definitely be a much nicer item!) The cast iron pieces are nice and heavy but are very rough! I believe it's going to take quite some wear-n-tear to season and eventually smooth these out. I'm afraid this means a lot of food is sticking in the meantime. It's getting better, but still nowhere near worn smooth enough yet. Would not purchase again, especially at this price point! ... show more
