Description

The Little Giant Velocity is a lightweight two person ladder constructed of a special alloy that makes it 20 percent lighter than any comparable industrial- rated ladder. The Velocity also includes several innovative new features such as the dual-pin hinge and the easy-to-use Rock Locks for quick adjustment. The Velocity can be used in many unique configurations as an A-frame, extension, staircase and 90-degree ladder, and with Velocity Trestle Brackets (sold separately) to form a trestle-and-plank scaffolding system. The Velocity’s wide-flared legs and aerospace-grade aluminum construction provide an unmatched feeling of safety and stability. The Little Giant Velocity is rated to hold 300 pounds on both sides and is a true two-person ladder.

I've used my 26' ladder in several configurations and love it. It's extremely sturdy and durable in any configuration, and can be safely handled by one person (although for some jobs, 2 is a good idea). It's been great to have for indoor and outdoor work around the house. I've had to contact Little Giant customer service for an issue and their response was polite, quick, and they immediately worked to resolve my ladder's issue under warranty. It didn't cost me a thing. My particular ladder had a defect in one of the two latching mechanisms, which meant that when the ladder was extended one of the latches would give way even with minimal weight on it. The second latching mechanism would keep the extension in place enough that I didn't fall, but the ladder didn't feel secure to stand on. I contacted customer service, which is available online and by phone, and submitted a claim. They asked for my contact information and then sent me a message asking for any details about the issue. They had the option to email or text pictures/video of the problem, which made explaining the problem really simple. I wish all companies had such modern ways to make warranty claims! I was able to communicate directly with the engineer assigned to my case and, after they reviewed my video of the problem, they approved a new ladder extension to be sent out to me at their own expense. I've had and used this ladder for six months now, and I can't say enough good things about it. I've had other multi-stage ladders before but nothing compares to the convenience, sturdiness, and usability of this ladder. The way they designed the release buttons for all the adjustments is just brilliant. So easy for one person to use. The levers that lock and release the extensions have two positions... Push it all the way and the extension slides up and down with ease. With a touch you can release it to the mid-position that allows them to lock into place at the next position it arrives at. Then the release for the hinge is also simple to use. Just give it a good hit with the palm of your hand and it is unlocked. By the way the shape of this button is big and round so you don't feel a thing when you pop it to unlock it. I also feel very safe on this ladder even when it is fully extended to 26 feet! I will say that at full extension I need a second person to help me set it because it is a bit top heavy by design, but I had no problem doing it myself at shorter lengths. I LOVE THIS LADDER! And I don't expect I will ever need another ladder in my life. ... show more

Just wanted to say we are very pleased with the 26' Little Giant. Hubby & I have been considering purchasing one for years and with the heavy rain and gutters that needed cleaning we decided to give it a try when a little plant decided it had found a good home. : ) The ladder's learning curve was about 10 minutes - the instructions are very easy to follow...even for a girly girl and the rungs have a great secure-sounding clank when they're properly locked into place. 5 Stars - the top priority for a ladder in my view is to feel secure when using it & I didn't have any worries or fear. It's solid. The only "down" sides are that singularly the rungs are a little thin (I have size 7 feet). When doubled they're fine. Given the construction it totally makes sense why they're thin and I wouldn't change a thing - just be prepared for it. As others have mentioned, the ladder is quite heavy - 50lbs doesn't sound too bad until you consider it's a large object but just fold it up and drag it along via the wheels and relocating it is a breeze. Overall, we're very please with the investment and in an afternoon addressed a number of home maintenance tasks that we'd put on hold for a quite a while. I really like collapsible ladders, and this one is perfect, it allows me to clean my 2nd floor gutters, and gave me perfect reach to hang Christmas lights up into the roof peaks. The extension locks are easy to use, and function perfectly. I needed a ladder to reach a light fixture at 12 feet high amongst other possible usages and this ladder was the best solution available on Amazon an around me as my car cannot transport such a big item. The ladder in itself is very well constructed, very sturdy but man, it is super heavy!!! The ad video showing the guy lifting it like it is nothing has been practicing for months or was on a special diet I don't know... It is possible to lift it yes, but not for very long. Now, the extension of the ladder is very simple, yet a bit of a struggle in "A" position, once again, the video shows a smoothness that does not exist in the real world, you will be lifting one side as much as you can (remember, heavy... uh!) up to the click and then you will have to keep the whole thing in balance while lifting the other side and pushing the legs at the same time because of basic geometrics, the base enlarges when you enlarge a triangle!! Up to the click again and you have to start again until you reach the proper height. And reverse to go down. What I do like in this product is the "click" mechanism, you push, you open, it clicks, you check visually and it is securely locked in place. The same goes for the extension, you push on the orange thing, you extend, you push again on the orange thing and it clicks, secure, safe. Have I said it is heavy to move? :) ... show more
