I am hard of hearing and have hearing aids but because of back round I need the sound directly into my ears. I had a headset setup on my old TV when I setup the new TV I was unable to use the headsets. So I ordered the SuperEar Model SE7500 for Seniors tried it out right away and it worked perfectly Well worth the money.

This was purchased for my father who refuses to wear actual hearing aids. We had alot of issues in the beginning with feedback and him adjusting to it. Now that we've worked that out, for the most part they do work pretty well and better than any other otc hearing device we've tried. It does pick up alot of background noise at times. I will say their customer service is wonderful though. I spoke with them a few times trying to resolve problems and they were always helpful. For his situation, these will work out well enough as they do help him have ability to watch tv in the same room with the rest of us.

I find this helpful to a moderate to good level. I can hear tv adequately and hear live speech better. I use the headphones along with my hearing aids. The ad copy on Amazon says there is a 5 step tone controls. There is a volume control but no tone control. Disappointing but usable.

My grandfather is 100 next month and hearing aids are not enough anymore so he misses a lot of conversations with the family. I took a chance on this amplifier to try and help him feel like part of the family again. I’m so happy to say IT WORKS!! He used it over his hearing aids and did not have any feedback and he could hear everyone chatting and interact with us so much better! Bonus result…we could watch TV with him at a reasonable volume instead of wanting to plug our ears!

This is a great device, it is the most powerful hearing amplifier i have found. My father is 85 years old and has extreme hearing loss. I've tried several devices from this company mostly because dad doesn't take care of them well or they just don't have a long shelf life. However when there isn't many alternative you use what you have. What i would recommend is take the extended warranty. Seniors can be a little rough with these things. It comes with a carrying case, over the ear headset, a second ear bud type headset. It also automatically shuts off every 45 minutes to conserve the AAA batteries. easy LED display button lets you know when its on.

Bought this for my 89 year old mother who cannot deal with using in-the-ear hearing aids and loses them. I tried the product myself because Mom's feedback is minimal. They do amplify and I could hear things I did not hear at all with my own ears, like conversations of nearby people. I suppose that could be a pro or con depending on your need. The sound quality is a bit tinny but we are talking about a $60 product, not $5000 hearing aids. I figure you can't lose more than $60 and even if you don't like the product, it still works. Be careful to start out with the volume all the way down and then adjust it upward to fit your need. It will really whistle when it is too high. It is safer to turn the unit on before putting on the headphones or earbuds, just in case someone turned the volume real high. I only tried the headphone so I cannot provide feedback on the earbuds. FOLLOW-UP In less than a year of minimal usage, the product started making a loud buzzing noise through the headphones that overshadows what you are trying to hear, rendering the unit useless. I have reached out to the manufacturer to see if it can be corrected.
