Granted, I’ve never owned a cantilever umbrella before, but for the price, as compared to other options on the market, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Materials- Fabric is thicker and sturdier than I expected, the aluminum structure is not heavy (in weight) but is a much heavier gauge than I would have anticipated. Function- Parts move smoothly once assembled and it’s very versatile in terms of positioning. I wouldn’t say it’s *easy* to rotate when open, but I’m a 46 year old woman, and not especially agile, and I can manage it alone. (I wouldn’t dock stars for the difficulty because it’s not related to the design or execution of the product, but rather the physics of moving something of that size in that way.) Assembly- It's unwieldy to assemble (due to size)- but not difficult, despite subpar instructions. It took my husband and a friend about 20 minutes to unpack and get assembled. Note: Extra bolts and nuts were included (others said they had “leftover parts that didn’t go anywhere”) but I consider that a good thing… I’d be peeved if I lost one in the grass and had to wait for a replacement. Overall- Time will tell about durability, but out of the gate, I’m pleased and I feel like it was a good value. It looks nice, functions without issue, and serves the purpose well.

Our first umbrella arrived damaged, so I reordered and happily received a replacement and a refund immediately. It was easy to put together and has made my sunny deck habitable again. It rotates easily, and moves up and down with ease. I won't leave it up when we aren't using it so it lasts longer.

I bought this product new. When it arrived, there box was in rough shape. When I opened the box it was fairly obvious that the umbrella was already used. I decided to try and assemble it when I found out there wasn't any instructions. I continued to assemble the umbrella when I found out that a large section of mast was missing and there was no way the umbrella was useable. I had to disassemble abd repackage everything. I'm very disappointed that Sunnyglade would let a used/returned product sell for a new price and on top of it let it out of their warehouse without checking to see if it had all of the items necessary to assemble the umbrella.

These umbrellas are sturdy and beautiful. Easier to operate compared to other cantilever umbrellas. I ordered 2 of the 11 foot ones in blue.. It is the exact color of Sunbrella's Aruba blue so easy to order matching patio pillows.. Bright, vivid color. They cover all of my outdoor furniture. providing a large area of shade for seating.

Perfect for our yard to keep the patio and new puppies shaded during outside visits during the sunny days. Our patio takes the morning sun, so this allows pups to play in play area as we sip coffee and train them. We liked one so much we ordered a second. Purchase strong support to hold them down. We have an occasional wind tunnel coming through and tipped one. Purchased more sand filled holders to secure it. Love the ease of up and down. Very good value.

After assembly, the umbrella is fairly sturdy in high winds (base screwed to deck). The weight of the umbrella tends to place a natural lean on the mast. I worry that over time, the weight and lean may affect the base of the mast (where the umbrella can be rotated). This lower assembly is of a chunky cast metal assembly and contains a bearing on which the mast can swivel. The manufacturer has attempted to reduce the chances of ripped material in shipping by placing doubled bubble wrap at the frame’s hinges. One metallic rib of the umbrella frame still came damaged from a bend near the tip (nothing too serious). Assembly instructions were fair at best. Fortunately, it’s not rocket science and can be figured out on one’s own. I required additional tools and hardware (for fastening to deck). Some of the fixtures of the mast construction were of lesser quality than expected. All in all, it is a better umbrella than less expensive models in local retail stores. After 18 months of service, the umbrella canvas has developed tears at three ribs near its periphery. The stresses seem to be highest at these points. To alleviate the stress we have not opened the umbrella fully to allow some sag between ribs. It seems to slow the rate of tear. The tears are less than 6” in length and maybe 1/2” in width (at most). Because they are at the ribs, it is not immediately noticeable to casual inspection. The base leans still at about the same precarious angle. The beefy metal seems to withstand the weight to this point well. I’ve lowered my rating one star because of the tears developing, but it appears it will last another year with care. It is still better than cheaper umbrellas we’ve purchased in the past.
