Works great for heating water for my oatmeal or hot chocolate. Takes about 8 minutes to boil. Then shuts off. I can turn it on and walk away. Just a note if you decide to use it to boil your tea bags, it will stain the bottle inside where the heating element is. And I can't get it out. Also, if doing tea, only fill it halfway or it'll bubble over. I had tea all over the counter. So, I use it for tea now. It's a good product. Also, the lid doesn't open to 90°, maybe half that. I can fit my hand inside to clean it, but my hands are small. I can see there being an issue getting your hand in if it's bigger. (Example, I wear a size small latex glove.) ... show more

Great hot water pot. You push the button to open the top you fill it with water and return the pot to the electrical disk, press the start button, and in two or three minutes you have boiling water. Only thing I didn’t like was there is a screen at the pouring spout that apparently filters out tea and coffee debris, but it just seems like it restricts the flow and I will probably just get a knife and cut out my little tiny metal screen that is designed to filter the water. ... show more

I love the blue light that shows it is on and is pretty to watch the water boil. I also purchased a Brita water container which helps also. I have hard water and use the Brita water to keep the tea pot clear of mineral deposits in the pot.

For years I paid for electricity to keep a stand alone hot/cold unit that holds 3-5 gallon jugs of water. What a waste. Now I flip the lever on this nice looking unit and in 30 seconds I have the hot water I need. Highly recommend it.

Like the LED lights. Not sure why it has a built in mesh filter unless that is for brewing tea right in the kettle. Thought the mesh was supposed to be removable, it is not. This kettle will be hard to clean out if you had tea leaves in it, as lid does not come off. Cleaning with vinegar should be easy enough. ... show more
