I like everything about this kettle especially the smaller size. I typically only need hot water for one or two cups so this smaller size is really good for my needs. The blue light is cool, and helps me see what is happening in the kitchen at night when I'm heating water for a bedtime tea. The actual heating element is recessed under the center of the kettle, and that keeps anyone from accidentally touching the bottom and getting burned.
