Update: 5 mos later, everything below is still true! After exhaustively searching Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc., and considering name-brands, I settled on this kettle, with low-ish expectations. My main priorities were: a lid that was removable, not on a hinge; a volume that worked well for 1-2 people, and would hold up under daily use. I originally wanted a shorter spout, but am now very happy with the curved, but not overly-long spout for pouring over filter coffee. After daily use for 2 months, it is still working as well as the day out of the box. Things that have not been a problem: It has never failed to shut itself off upon boiling (and I click down on the tab more than once each use). The lid fits very securely - snug, but not hard to remove - and therefore never any leakage. The steam holes in lid are easy to position away from handle, and so hot fingers not a problem. Likewise, handle is sturdy and easy to hold. Interior is easy to clean. Tab to press down is plastic, yes, but not flimsy. Never had any odor, even from outset. Yes, the outside of kettle gets hot with boil.... but that's what the handle is for! Water stays hot long enough, if you don't like to re-boil. Boil time is plenty fast. And noise? Not even noticeable. IDK, my cats yowling to be fed are 10X the noise! I like the orange light that indicates it is on, and which turns off when boil completed. Only one quibble: wish the cord was about 3-4 inches longer. Overall, very happy with purchase. Hopefully will last for many months more.

cheaper and more flimsy than it appeared in the photo. The top looked like it was shinny, like a copper top, but its just brown plastic as is the base and handle. It took a full 5 minutes to boil 1 liter of water (for those who wonder what 'quick boil') looks like. Kind of wish I had just splurged on a more expensive kettle replacement :) But non-the-less, this is the one I chose and looks like it's going to be great!

I just love this pot got it for a present years ago, stop working few months ago and I decided to get a new one but different brands and style to try it but, they didn’t work for me the material they where made I guess where cheap and the bottom stared to get rust in last then a month. The best decision I made was to the this brand again, but the only problem was the package outside was all smashed and inside the pot had a little dent. I recommend this brand to anybody who’s looking for a gooseneck pot, material is good and very durable also the automatic shut off, the material strong and perfect lid I’m very happy with my new pot excellent brand and Material

I bought this kettle in January 2022 for my classroom lunch breaks. It’s affordable, cute, and heats up fast. I kept it for a year in my classroom and brought it home the Spring of 2023 when I went on maternity leave. We warmed bottles, sanitized toys, made tea/instant coffee, and made midnight ramen when we had to stay up all night with the baby. Be aware. Not a UL certified product or third party certified product. At least I could not see any markings on it. I see other people complaining about leakage and issues with automatic shut off. We experienced that issue a year or so after we purchased it in 2022. They replaced it for a new one. Then this past Spring the auto shut off failed on the new one too and the kettle bottom got melted and filled the house with smoke. Damaged the counter surface as well and I’m surprised it did not cause a fire. Absolutely don’t buy this product. I’ll report this incident to the US product safety commission

I needed this for work because sometimes we're down to just water bottles and I refuse to drink microwave tea. This Kettle is easy to use. Just plug it in and put the kettle on the base. Its also quick and boils in about 3-5 mins, then shuts off on its own, and I'm able to get a few cups out of it when I fill it to the max line. It also stays warm for a relatively good time. I could drink the pot over the span of a few hours and the last cup would still be able to steep tea. Very happy with my purchase.
