We had remodeled our kitchen and chose a granite that had a lovely shade of light sage green in it. So naturally, I chose to decorate in this color palette. I drink hot tea daily and needed an electric water kettle. This one fit the bill entirely. I do love the functionality and design. However just 2 small changes would elevate this to a perfect purchase. First the brown accents, would be better in a stainless/silver finish and also, perhaps, improve longevity. Secondly, is the noise when it’s boiling the water. Mine makes a very loud noise that tends to irritate my husband 😂. However neither of these has limited my love of this tea kettle. Gas bill was significantly reduced after a month of switching from my stovetop kettle to this electric kettle (I would say how much but, commodities like this fluctuate so much, I don't want to give anyone a false impression; let's say about 30% reduced). I originally got this kettle because running the gas stove to heat water for hot beverages would make my kitchen hotter than it already was in the summer but, an unexpected and very welcome surprise came when I got my gas bill! That said, the kettle itself is built well, the sides wipe clean strangely easily with no water spots; it boils a full kettle in about 3 - 5 minutes depending on the water temp when it goes in. Maybe all gooseneck kettles are this amazing but I can't get over the way this pours compared to the other electric kettles I've had with regular short spouts. No splatter whatsoever. Pours silently like I imagine liquid silk would. It's actually difficult to describe but it still makes me smile every time and I've been using it daily for nearly two months. Are they all like this? We have purchased a half dozen kettles from Amazon for making pour over coffees. This is by far the best one. Others didd not hold enough water or they started to leak at the spout near the base. The design of this electric kettle is perfect, great retro look simple but perfect functionality.

Recieved electric kettle and almost returned it. I thought pic showed more turquoise color, this kettle is definitely light green. All pieces are plastic on outside. Due to those reasons had intended to return it. Started using it and decided to keep it. Wish wasn't so plasticky looking but works well. ONly issue I have is when I add tea bags to it to steep my tea it tends to overflow (doesn't matter how much I fill it). If I don't add teabags it doesn't overflow. Does not whistle when done have to watch for tiny red light to go out. ... show more

I love the look of it and how quickly it heats. Other reviews were right- you can’t fill it all the way as it will start bubbling up through the spout or lid BUT as long as I keep it 3/4 full there’s no issue and that’s plenty to make a cup or three of tea
