I picked up the Mecity Pink Electric Gooseneck Kettle because I wanted something practical that still looked good sitting out on my counter. This kettle didn't disappoint! First off, it boils water quickly—perfect for mornings when I just need that coffee ASAP. The gooseneck spout pours smoothly, giving me great control for pour-over coffee or tea, and no annoying spills on my countertop. It feels sturdy, especially the handle, which has a comfortable grip and angle. I wasn’t sure about the pink at first, but honestly, it looks even better in person—clean, modern, and stylish. It doesn't feel cheap, either. It’s got a nice matte finish and feels solid without being bulky. Pros: - Fast Heating: Gets water boiling surprisingly fast. - Smooth, Controlled Pour: Gooseneck spout provides excellent control, ideal for pour-over coffee and tea. - Stylish & Compact: Looks great in my kitchen; sleek and modern without taking up too much space. - Safe to Handle: Stays surprisingly cool on the outside, even right after boiling (but always test carefully first!). Cons: - Smaller Capacity: If you're boiling water for multiple people, you might need a refill—it's perfect for one or two servings, but larger batches might need multiple boils. - No Temperature Control: It simply boils water, no adjustable temperature settings, so keep that in mind if you're particular about your tea or coffee temperatures. Overall, I'm really happy I got this kettle. It looks great, works perfectly, and honestly makes mornings just a bit easier (and prettier). Ok the pot was smaller than expected but this is fine for me. I need enough to fill my French Press, or make a few cups of tea and this is perfect. Automatic shut off after boiling: check. Boils in minutes, check. Now the color,... total as represented in the image online. Rich chocolaty bronze color. Love!!! Stainless steel interior; check. Worth it!! I tried to see if I could find a matching toaster. I would love a set of counter appliances in this color.

It’s perfect for what I need it for. I do love this little pot. It’s just my style. And it works fine. It boils water and then it shuts itself off. The only way they could make it better is if it made a noise when it shut itself off, but that’s being picky.

We received this kettle the day after we ordered it, but as soon as we unpacked it we noticed problems. First, as we unpacked it we noticed the box had two large, black X marks across two sides. The chemical odor from inside the kettle was very strong, even after washing it out twice. We filled it up and placed it on its heating base. We found the switch to be really flimsy and cheap, and it felt like it could just snap off. We took it to full boil which it reached in five minutes. The kettle shut off just as it should and we poured the hot water into two coffee cups. The chemical smell was still there but better. I have large hands and when I went to pour out the water, my natural hand position put my finger in contact with the lid and burned it. No burn injury, but a unexpected "ouch!' We poured out the water and let the kettle cool and refilled it again to see if the next pot would still smell. We plugged it in and nothing happened. After a couple of minutes, still nothing. Turned the switch off and on again and still no heating. On the next try it worked. We are retuning the kettle today and finding something else. This time we'll go to a quality kitchen supply store and buy something we can put our hands on and hopefully get something that's of a much higher quality. Not recommended.
